Again. This time however it will be a bit different. No categories. Just records that defined 2011 for me.
Let me start of by saying that 2011 was a tough year in general. And I guess it’s true for everybody. As for me: a lot of shit happened. So music was probably my biggest friend and best escape.
In my choice of music I surprised myself a lot. For starters I fell in love with hip-hop and keep on digging it, re-discovered Vampire Weekend (I used to hate them, c’mon)) and XX, listen to a lot more pop-music that is healthy and danced my ass off to Foals’ two records.

The simplicity of the beats pays its tribute to Blake's soul voice which without any doubt completes an outstanding album that brought some very original to the big music scene. Especially The Wilhelm Scream and the two songs Lindisfarne I and Lindisfarne II show Blake's versatility. Definitely the album that surprised me the most in a very positive way. James Blake has also been very active which is a gigantic plus. The internet swells with EP's by Blake. With all these new songs and EP's Blake has had a busy year and still…

Repudiava ela, acreditem! Mas depois que descobri que ela era Little Monster, parece que meus ouvidos se adaptaram a ela lol. O CD é de longe o melhor dela, simplesmente por ela ter deixado aquela fase wannabe rock e mergulhou no pop.
