yup.. the best on the album
Fav on the album.
johnny whitney's falsetto?
Best song of the album. For sure.
"The falsetto will be a bit much"... Wow, really? Some people are so easily put off a song. This is wonderful on first and repeated listens.
fav on the album
Reminds me Grant Lee Buffalo - Fuzzy
Wow.. Cedric Bixler first came to mind.
Portugal.The Man. Definitely.
I hated this when I first heard it, but now I think it's one of the better songs off the album.
Fantastic way to close the album. Really really like this one.
Nice! Was John Gourley hiding in the studio? Totally agree. The first time I heard this song I was like, "Oh...Someone has been listening to Portugal. The Man."
Best song off the album methinks. Funny to me that it does not sound like the Shins. Shrug.
I just love his voice... so much. (2) <3
Nice! Was John Gourley hiding in the studio?
It's too bad the rest of the album wasn't this good.
wow...i was gonna say the exact same thing...so much like p.tm when they were good
Standout track on the album for sure. Amazing lyrics matched perfectly with a dark and haunting sound.
best track on the new album. trust me on this.
Portugal. The Man. Which is a good thing.
I just love his voice... so much.
I.. wow. The falsetto will be a bit much for some, but it grew on me a lot and the lyrics and music are gorgeous.
It's impossible not to compare this to all the other Shins record enders. I mean Past & Pending, Those to Come, A Comet Appears. They're all completely in their own league. I don't think this song can join them quite yet!
Portugal. The Man. Which is a good thing.
Yeah, definitely a Portugal. The Man/Broken Bells feel here. I dig it, for sure the strongest of the last 4 tracks imo.
ooh, this one caught my attention
Sounds like Portugal. The Man to me.
Weakest The Shins album closer so far.
The most interesting song in the album.
My fav of the album so far.
Sounds like it was a Broken Bells leftover, not that it's a bad thing!
Very 60's, pretty cool. Not sure how I felt about him singing to his listeners directly at first but now I think it's kinda funny.
Oh wow. I think this is fantastic.
I think if he actually sung the falsetto part a few octaves lower it'd sound better
hmmm, not sure how I feel about this one.
The Past and Pending, A Comet Appears (Chuck memories) and The Mall and Misery (Broken Bells) are Classics and I suppose "Port of Morrow" grows with every listen but I already really like it.
this is sure to divide listeners
That's some high pitch bro.
