Listening to the albums on this list makes me think something was right back in 1991. In music anyway. We did have the Gulf War, start of the Yugoslav wars, 'Magic' Johnson testing positive for HIV and me starting first grade. None of those were cool at all.
Monster Magnet - Spine of God
Monster Magnet reached their commercial peak in the mid to late 90's but in my opinion they had reached perfection already with their debut full length. spine Of God is an album in the truest meaning of the word - it is to be experienced as a whole. A dirty, gritty drug rock opus. Turn the lava lamp on, put Fritz The Cat on TV, settle down with your relaxant of choice and turn it up to 11. "If Satan lived in Heaven, he'd be me" - who the hell writes lyrics like that? Dave Wyndorf of Monster Magnet, that's who.
