4 nov. 2012, 0h50m par timmyc1983Well, interesting year to say the least. Personally it has been horrendous for me. I have had some personal issues which ended me up in hospital for 2 months and no scrobbling for all of August :( so playcounts are down. But the year in music has been good...
5. Julia Stone - By the Horns
So both Angus and Julia Stone have released solo efforts this year, and both will be favorites to be in my top 5 come December 31st. This album is a treat, and there are some great songs on it, not to mention it has got me back into her first solo album The Memory Machine which is also awesome. Highlights here are the title track By the Horns, It's All Okay, Tell Her a Story and I'm Here, I'm Not Here.
4. The Killers - Battle Born
The band's fourth studio album, and i didn't get it first listen or two but it has grown on me very well. …

Day & Age.
by The Killers.
Is officially in my top 10 of most wonderful, amazing & brilliant masterpiece-ish albums in the whole wide existence. Seriously.
I never really liked them, actually. I used to like Sam's Town, but I kinda had an opinion that they became too mediocre, with a monotonous sound. Thank you, Lord, for letting me grow up and develop ears. And just so it happened that I decided to check them out again (thanks to 'Goodnight, Travel Well' ) . And my mandible simply fell down. Really. I can't stop listening to it, I keep on appreciating every song, there is not a SECOND which I don't like.
They have it, you know. That special little thing, which makes them so wonderful. Ah.
