  • @calzakk: the spelling of my name is, as you'll realise, a version of the "brown Smartie on the artist rider" clause - just to test if people are paying attention! ;-) We are eagerly awaiting the album too, but thanks and glad your evening was good.
  • Damn, of course I meant 'Bryon'!
  • Don't worry Byron, I'd never really heard much of RBN before that gig but I was certainly impressed and am eagerly awaiting the new album. I still thought it was a great night out, the sound problems didn't spoil it for me :)
  • Dear tschill, congratulations on being a spineless internet troll. For the record Assemblage 23's sound also sucked at that gig. And yes, it is difficult to tell if anyone can dance or not from listening to a cd - well spotted. As to charisma, at least some of us can do better than resorting to tired old lolcat cliches on our blogs. kthxbye.
  • @Tschill: Yes it was a horrible gig, and for the reasons already given by r_b_n. I have to ask tschill whether he/she bases all opinions on a single gig, which went wrong due to an unprofessional technician, and on if they think the vocalist can dance or not - or indeed tries to. Tschill must miss some really good music if so. RBN's album will be out this year and judging by the response from those who have heard the songs, promises not to disappoint. In the meantime, Tschill, I suggest you check out our material on the web to hear how it SHOULD have sounded.
  • tschill: RBN had severe sound issues front of house at the gig you went to. The soundman mixed the vocals way too high and we were also told that the sound desk FX unit broke and hence the vocal was not only far too loud over the keyboards and drums, it was also totally dry. This is not how it is meant to be. We are sorry that you didn't enjoy the show at all, and hope you give the album a chance.
  • The concert in London was horrible. The singer cannot dance and he cannot sing. Additionally a severe deficit in charisma. Maybe this is not so obvious when listening to a CD, but after that experience I definitely don't bother to try. Assemblage 23, playing afterwards, was quite the opposite.
  • Oh and I forgot to mention that Steve and I have just handed Thomas his Nachtmahr remix and he seems a happy Austrian boy with the result of our efforts. Once we get the album out there the next one will be a doddle!
  • We WILL have those final versions off to Krischan next month - honest! It's been one Hell of a year (or two. Come to think of it, it's been a bit difficult to concentrate on RBN stuff since the band's inception, but it IS getting better!) And yes, I know we said the album was nearly there this time last year, but it WILL be worth the wait.
