Honestly though, it is what the modern acoustic-indie artists attempt to do, but lack the honesty and fearlessness that these gentlemen possess. I feel the origin of their interests in hardcore/punk gives them a certain edge, an undeniable quality in the depth of emotions provoked by their songwriting. Part of me loves that it hasn't been engulfed into the Reich of the popularity contest of mass consumption, but part of me wishes they received more credit for the amazing music they have produced for many hushed years.
i'm listening to them for the first time, it's 'old friends' album and i just keep dropping jaws and spectral tears of happy sadness. and i don't even (h)(r)ea(r)(d) the lyrics. and it's only two songs through and a long way to go.
