It's amazing how an album can create such beautifully vivid imagery without having to utter a single word. Definitely my favorite Nine Inch Nails album after The Downward Spiral and The Fragile. Fuck that asshole below me.
I like how the number of track listens get less and less as the album wears on, like tens of thousands of first time listeners just checked out before the end, never to return. P.S. 28 is the fucking shit.
He made a stand against bad big business and even nearly won a commercial Award for it. I don't see how anyone can say this album is a fail. He is the split from the record companies pushing Bullshit to where the Fans and the Artists have the say. Beautiful album
This is such a great release. It's the closest thing to a Fragile mind frame Trent has been since his return, there are a lot of epic mood pieces on this that would work as full songs if given the chance. I just love the variety of this album. I would love to see the next Nine Inch Nails record have a sound like this but with lyrics and such.
Considering what Trent has done with his career after the release of Ghosts I-IV I feel that it's more of a portfolio than an album. A glorious audio résumé of sorts. This is especially true since both film scores composed by Trent and Atticus sound very similar in composition and mood to Ghosts.
