16 avr. 2009, 13h20m par Ed_BlackI've been meaning to do something like this for ages, and seeing as I'm so bored right now... Here are some lyrics. They are lyrics that I like lots. This doesn't mean they're my favourites or that there aren't others that I like as much or even more. It's just a wee selection. Enjoy.
"My greatest gift to you is a dancefloor, free from insecurity."
- Alexisonfire - Get Fighted
"If I could make a list, of my mistakes and regrets, I'd put your name on top, and every line after it."
- ...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead - Mistakes & Regrets
"I couldn't see the love and affection; it was camouflaged as a jungle of erections."
- The Blood Brothers - Camouflage, Camouflage
"Death's just death no matter how you dress it up."
- The Blood Brothers - Lift The Veil, Kiss The Tank
"And I'm sorry I don't have her face, and I'm probably gonna lose this race. There is no doubt she's such a mouse, with such an abstract grace." - Eisley - Ten Cent Blues

Thought I'd report in about the Manchester Orchestra & Anathallo gig last night (and taunt all of you over the pond! Still got to get back at you for the recent Thrice, mewithoutYou and Brand New tour...)
Was great to finally see both bands make it over to the UK. I know that Manchester Orchestra were recently here in support of Kings of Leon, but I thought I'd hold out for a headlining tour and we got one!
Anathallo played the following:
Hanasakajijii (four: a great wind, more ash)
Hanasakajijii (one: the angry neighbour)
Hanasakajijii (two: floating world)
Dokkoise House (with face covered)
Unfortunately a number of members had fallen ill so excused themselves for any flaws in their performance (of which there were none). Their entire set was incredible and all seemed in amazing spirits to be so far away from home and so well received. Matt seemed so perplexed about playing a show on an ex-timber transportation boat. …
9 déc. 2007, 21h43m par Nicky123Not very many bands these days can completely blow you away and change the way you look at the world. Manchester Orchestra did that. These young guys from Atlanta have been working hard and touring non stop all year, and it has payed off. Their debut LP "I'm Like A Virgin Losing A Child" is a mix of emotion and rock. Andy Hull pours his heart out into the lyrics and vocals. This album features everything from the fun rock songs "Wolves At Night" and "Now That You're Home" to the slower but powerful "Where Have You Been?" and "Sleeper 1972." And their live show animates the album even more.
I would definitely recommend this album as an excellent Christmas present to anyone who loves indie and rock.

5. Portugal. The Man
6. Envy on the Coast
7. Dear and the Headlights

What was the first song you ever heard by 6?
What is your favorite album of 2?
Deja Entendu. No contest.
What is your favorite lyric that 5 has sung?
No idea. Portugal. The Man is weird. I love them, though. Plus they put on an amazing live show.
How many times have you seen 4 live?
Just once when Circa Survive came to Pittsburgh. I would love to see an acoustic show.
What is your favorite song by 7?
What is a good memory you have considering the music of 10?
None. I don't listen to The Shins that much.
What is your favorite lyric that 2 has sung?
This is a very hard question. "...and the coastline is quiet, while we're quietly losing control." I really can't choose. I know there is a better one than that.
