Madonna has a series of serious, slow recordings with plenty of "space" in the 1990s. They're all perfectly mixed without clipping, unlike modern music, and sounded impressive on FM radio. The album "Something to Remember " includes most of them. Her last good song was The Power of Goodbye. That is a fitting title. Subjectively, I think other Pop artists of the decade shared the same qualities.
