Ain't no good life
Not the one that I lead
'Cause the more I fight the sadness, yeah
It only seems the more that I grieve

  • This song just makes me want to hear more out of Steve Gaines and subsequently it makes me sad since I will never be able to. What a great talent he was! I wonder if Ronnie had any issues with handing the mic over to Steve to handle all of the vocals on this song... I wouldn't think he would mind sharing vocal duties on You Got That Right, but letting a newer addition to the band sing for the band he had been THE one and only voice of could have been problematic for a lot of performers. You have to wonder how much more of a focal point Steve would have been had the band survived to put out another record. He could have sung half of the songs on the next record for all we know or maybe it would be just like this record where he just appeared vocally on two tracks.
  • skönt gung .. o o oh
  • Unforgettable Steve
  • Ronnie is back for this song with Stevie too. Have you guys and gals heard about the group The Outlaws they cover Sweet Home Alabama and the lead singer sounds more like Ronny that his own brother who's currently fronting the band.
  • I think this is Skynyrd's best song. As much as I loved Ronnie, this song just has such a solid groove and Steve Gaines voice conveys the title so well:) I agree--RIP Steve.
  • RIP Steve
