I must say I happen to be a lucky person - surprisingly lucky. The style I chose to follow back at school (the was, probably, 2003) resulted to be narrow enough for me to be able to track the most minute change to it in time. Although I didn't particularly consider this property of Trip-Hop when I was fifteen, I am lucky to experience it right now - sitting here in a place anybody has hardly heard of, facing a relatively limited number of artists and bands to listen to throughout the entire trip-hop genre. My luck is exclusive and unprecedented.
But let me introduce myself first. My name is Maxim, I am a language student, a language tutor and a DJ by vocation. And although it doesn't pay the rent to be a trip-hop DJ in Moscow, it hasn't been growing less challenging and captivating to spin. Even the fact that very few people listen to what I play doesn't discourage me a bit. Call me an enthusiast, for the less people download my mixes, the more I am in love with what I do.
