14 juin 2008, 18h10m par pecusitaWe all know them by now, the unnecessary dance club remixes of your favorite, and sometimes loathed, radio hits. They all make it into some money making Ultimate Dance hits compilation, or something like that.
There are also some sought after remixes, let that be by the artist themselves or the money-hungry record label. Lately we’ve seen the Radiohead’s Nude remix contest, and the Foals - Electric Bloom Remixes contest right here on Last.fm.
It begs the question, is it really necessary to have a Nude remix? I mean we are talking about Radiohead, men that know how to use those Pro Tools and have gotten the best out of samples throughout their careers.
I personally don’t think that song needs to be remixed, but there have been some songs that if you had asked me I would have said the same thing. Some have yielded surprisingly good results, others... well that’s where the Bad Remix in the title comes from.
