1. In My Eyes by Minor Threat. That building intro that collapses into the musical equivalent of the Hulk. The verse is Bruce Banner and tries to hold back the rage until it hulks out into the chorus and just destroys everything.
2. I Don't Wanna Carry Your Books by F.Y.P. This is impressive because there are basically two songs in the 2:50 running time. It goes from a melancholy pop-punk song to homicidal. Todd Congeliere has that Ben Weasel like vocal quality of sounding like a bratty little kid and being able to go from nice to angry very quickly.
3. Two For Flinching by Kid Dynamite. This is basically the king of all mini-epics because there's a verse, bridge, chorus, and break packed into the 11 second running time.
