Eh, a lackluster week of listening. Lots of FFVII and San Andreas playing on my PC instead of Winamping.
10 Plays (Down 18 Plays)
Still #1! Not the most-listened in my car, though, that'd be Eiffel 65
8 Plays (Down 4 Plays)
Eh, choas theory dictates they'll most likely be in the top 3, due to the sheer amount of songs I have of them.
3. Richard Cheese
5 Plays (Up 8 Positions, 2 Plays)
Recently giving a lot of love to The Girl Is Mine. Celebrity Voices impersonated, indeed.
4 Plays (Up 5 Positions)
I really, really like Clowns (Can You See Me Now?). Well-made song.
T4. Jim Gaffigan
4 Plays (Down 1 Position, 2 Plays)
Kind of shocked to see good ol' Jim on here. Didn't know I listened to him that much.
T6. Incubus (Heavy-hearted Rediscovered Artist of the Week)
3 Plays (Up 15 Positions, 1 Play)
I really only give them this since they were off the charts last week, so... yeah 3 Plays ain't much, but it's something. …

15 avr. 2006, 18h31m par rarebLet's start early. I was born in 1982. Before 1993, I don't know about years, but I know about the kind of music that influenced me.
When I was a child, I loved listening to tapes with radio plays (like "Casperl Theater", "Pumuckl" or "Grimms Märchen"). My mother always copied the original plays on a new tape for me, so we didn't lose the original when I accidentally pushed the "record" button on my player. The only slight inconvenience was, that the blank tapes were longer than the original tapes, so there was always about 15 minutes worth of blank space in the end.
My mother recorded music there - sometimes, I could choose, sometimes she put it on randomly.
This was the first kind of music I listened to. And it was a great variety - my mother was a trainer for a women's gymn-group and put together music for her lessons. Most of the music I had on my tapes had served that purpose before. …
7 fév. 2006, 21h30m par lieblingHa! My Recent Tracks are dorkier than yours. Totally. Heh.
I think the only way to actually beat mine would be by combining David Hasselhoff with Rex Gildo (hossa!) but that's gonna be tough for you. Not to do it but to survive it. Heh. I'm totally up for a challenge, though.
PS: The last entry and random insulting was fun. We must repeat that again sometime, kids.

25 jan. 2006, 23h22m par thenplayonIts been my opinon for a while, that Rock and Roll is being sabotaged. Fewer and fewer people I know know who Queen are, and even more of a crime, they don't even know who David Hasselhoff is. The audacity. Bands with some substance are being replaced with crap. The four horsemen of the musical apocolypse are Fall Out Boy,Panic! at the Disco,Green Day,and My Chemical Romance. The Usedis the whiney little kid who follows them all, and copies them.
I was convinced of the death of music when i heard The Used and MCR's cover of Under Pressure. It wasn't bad, since the two bands convering said song had no talent at all, but still. Going on Itunes you see some MCR fans saying "The original version was empty, this perfects it." Another rich one was "This is how the song would sound if Bowie and Queen sang it today." Oh right. Because Freddie Mercury has a whiney, emo voice.
Bands like AC/DC,Led Zeppelin, and The Rolling Stonesexist only as a teenage fasion statement. …
15 jan. 2006, 23h36m par urbanizedSince I haven't written anything at all here before, I make a boring debut by naming favourite artists for every letter. I'll try to use my Last.fm list as far as possible...
A: Quite hard. I don't want to say Aerosmith, I'd prefer saying AC/DC.
B: The Beatles
C: Since Cannibal! The Musical isn't really an artist, I'll go for Clawfinger. Creedence Clearwater Revival and Joe Cocker are both close, so close.
D: Dia Psalma or Dr Hook. I'll go with the first.
E: Ebba Grön
F: Foo Fighters
G: Really hard. I have no other choice than picking Guns N' Roses.
H: The Hives, The Hellacopters or David Hasselhoff... The Hives.
I: Iron Maiden
J: Elton John
K: Kent (Though I want to mention Kung Kodum too.)
L: Peter LeMarc or Led Zeppelin.
N: Veronika Nielsen (You can stop searching the Internet for her music. She's a friend of mine and she hasn't got a label.)
O: The Offspring
S: System of a Down
T: Timbuktu, Tina Turner, They Might Be Giants or Thåström... I say Tenacious D.
