There is something sensational about this track. Electronic sounds indicating the grid. Panning arpeggio showing the haunting loneliness in cyberspace. The beautiful melody conveying the father son relationship. How the hell did Daft Punk come up with this?
A tense little number to establish a darker world than the 1982 film. There is a young man with much on his shoulders, a lot of pain, and a penchant for trouble. But he is strong, a survivor, and it does not matter if the world is digital or analog.
Beyond awesome! Wish the track was longer like everyone else, it's the stand-out track on the album and perfect for the sequence in the movie as well. Reminds me of my teenage years, where can I get more like this?!
I agree that this has a Phillip glass feel. Maybe it is the arpeggiated chords with the base chords. The repetition is very Phillip glass. then again the whole album had a glass feel to me. Great music which compliments the scenery beautifully.
