"We welcome Jonas Hartikainen to the band. He´ll be replacing Fredrik Andersson as our lead-guitar player. We have decided to bring Burning Saviours back to the sound that we had in the beginning. The new songs will be doomier, heavier and more "evil". Think Black Sabbaths first album. That´s the direction Burning Saviours will go from now on. Hopefully, we can present a new song in February that we´ve been working on"
An online friend recommended these guys to me! Absolutely brilliant stuff! To be honest, I like "Burning Saviours" more than "Witchcraft"! :D It is really awesome to know that this band has re-grouped! It's great news in my book! :D
Mikael Monks: "It is official. Burning Saviours is back as a group. Members are: Mikael Monks (ex.Marjanen) - Vocals & Rythm guitar (Original member, former rythm guitar on all recordings), Fredrik Andersson - Lead Guitar (former singer on Nymphs and Weavers), Fredrik Evertsson - Bass (original member) and Martin Wijkström - Drums (o......riginal member). We will focus on getting ready for playing some "reunion" shows in a near future. The setlist will consist of songs from the demotapes to the latest/last album. A new album? That will have to wait a bit."
Hell yeah!! \\m//
Shame they split up, I can't even decide what album I like the most. N&W is just a orgy of free cheese melody and the first two album still manage very cohesive song writing. They could be very worthy successors to the crown owned at the moment by Pagan Altar.
i like this kinda stuff, but i dont think Burning Saviours are unique enough. i mean, when you listen to Witchcraft you can tell they are Witchcraft....this just sounds a bit cliche and too close to its influences..thats not saying i dont like it btw.
I guess burning saviours is no more:
Today we had meet up in the rehearsal room and talked about the future of Burning Saviours. In the end we came to the decision that we should split-up the band. We feel that we simply can´t give 100% anymore, not even 30%.
