i agree with version on all his comments, i have been listening to arsis for years and unwelcome is the first album i am really quite indifferent about. starve for the devil was great but i dunno about this one. i will keep listening to it but its just not doing it for me like the others. lepers caress ep was great doe.
lol i have a new admirer from the arsis shoutbox. hey baby :x i love it when people care about me so much that they complain indirectly to boost up their public profile <3 let's keep our love affair to pms, ok hon?
it's muddy and immemorable to me except for handbook for the recently deceased and even that one feels deliberately arranged and soulless - like something you'd want to hear when you're drunk as hell. unwelcome was the first arsis album I've been indifferent / borderline negative about. I even loved the last one, starve for the devil!
Agree that "its just plain ridiculous for people to be claiming that A Celebration of Guilt is their only good album". The new album is a clear step up from their mid-period, and now they've incorporated the rock (without it being too 'forced' this time) and they're better than ever.
This band is so fucking amazing. Stellar musicianship, without the least bit wanky - great sense and use of melodies, while still maintaining themselves really heavy - great riffs complimented with the brilliant leads. Best bandfind in oh, so many years.
I hope that one day you'll learn how to be assertive & get over your disappointment that I don't like the music you listen to. clearly, it matters to you what I think about your music taste otherwise you would have done the mature thing and ignored my initial shout. I like you, you're a piece of work.
I don't deserve to listen to Arsis, because I'm infatuated with A Celebration of Guilt (most share this sentiment). HERPITY DERP. And no, I don't listen to music to impress people. I listen to music that sounds aesthetically pleasing with some semblance of effort poured into it.
Six coffins wide should be on the Unwelcome album not just like the bonus on it from previous ep,that song does not deserve it. Unwelcome is splendid album, I expected it because the songs from EP were great. New material reminding me the We are the nightmare times.
no. check out Handbook For The Recently Deceased though, that songs fantastic. hyp0crisy keep making assumptions completely outside of reality because you're upset with me, it's really helping your case. and it's very sad that you listen to music to impress people. i have no other clue why you would assume that about other people you've never even spoken to, let alone know, unless you do it yourself. people like you don't deserve to listen to arsis. its also funny how you got upset and started making passive aggressive comments towards me because i dont like the music you listen to. get over it, i dont even know you. you'd think i stole your girlfriend or screwed your sister, the way you go on.
I used to be anti-social metal twat obsessed with being kvlt and tr00 once upon a time before I discovered most of the music was lame and listening to obscure shit wasn't impressing anybody. I'm sure being the only guy wearing illegible band shirts is paying off in big dividends for you.
I don't know how anyone can objectively consider anything but A Celebration of Guilt as their best effort. It's technical without verging into the ranks of complete wankery (where WatN fails), and it manages to stay catchy without becoming cheesy like their last two albums. The production is perfect for the style of music and the lyrics are Malone at his best.
