Wez G - Free The Planet
It's been a long summer and there's been a break in my regular mixes. Anyway I'm back with a bang and keen to 'Free The Planet'. Watching the news here in the uk over the past year or so and I am detecting a disturbing pattern of police brutality and the erosion of our fundamental human rights. george orwell's '1984' warns of a 'big brother' society where every thought is monitored and people punished for the most minor of detours from the authorities' policies. To me house music represents freedom. The feeling of unity you can only experience in the middle of the dancefloor gives people breath and helps you to evade the oppression of our masters. I don't want everyone to listen to this and go out smashing the windows in JJB Sports for some new trainers in a violent orgy of looting. Just turn on the speakers, enjoy what (good) summer weather we have left and chill to the sounds of liberty.

Got more into Ambient, found Ultimae Records (great catalog!)
Here's a selection of my 2010 in music:
Best albums of 2010 (random order):
Hans Zimmer - Inception (OST)
Best movie of 2010 and an awesome soundtrack!
Jesse Somfay - A Catch in the Voice (Techno)
From 2009, this album hooked me with the first track, dreamy depressed sounds!
The Flashbulb - Arboreal (IDM)
Great new album of The Flashbulb, totally different of his epic 2008 album, I dislike the sometimes lack of quality of some parts, but this is a must hear!
Alan Fitzpatrick - Shadows In The Dark (Techno)
'Dark' monotome, great release on Drumcode, best techno album/producer of 2010.
Asura - 360 (Ambient)

11 mars 2010, 11h41m par sultanelturrahSignaletik Records launches its first sublabel, a label exclusively digital wishing to become a springboard for artists of tomorrow. For this first release, they decided to collaborate with a young Ukrainian producer: Egor Boss.
Egor Boss, although already known in his country, is also gaining popularity in the international scene now.
Since the beginning of his career in 2006, this producer has already produced no less than forty releases and has already received critical acclaim. Again, Signaletik Records stands for quality and they touch the dancefloor within its soul: rhythm and emotion.
Egor Boss delivers us a sound as sharp as a needle with Needles & Fibers, with old school tone on lead climbing gradually to the most current kick. Track labelised "100% Techno".
Electric Rescue delivers us, meanwhile, a remix on his trademark: the Minimal version of the title and, with an efficiency that will fool most of one clubbers with a break of madness, a swelled kick and an immediate rhythmic. …

Wez G - Spaceman Funk
I have visions of space. In my dreams I see other worlds, worlds where club music thrives. Worlds where new technologies abide and beats manifest to deliver the ultimate party to the thronging masses. As I deliver these mixes to the internet universe, I wonder whether my tech dreams are being realised. This month I've gone all-out with new technology and have used traktor combined with a new vestax vcm-100 midi controller. I'm not turning my back on vinyl - NO WAY JOSE. virtual mixing with Traktor, however, allows me to air my beatport collection and allows for a different type of dj creativity with nice tight mixes and lots of creative looping... Stick with the spaceman Wez G as he delivers some hard-hitting funk using the most up to date weapons systems known to thedj world.

It's been a cold, windy, rainy week here in Southern California. I'm not complaining because we typically have weather of 72 degrees and clear skies for most of the year so one month of rain is a pretty decent trade off for living n a place that is otherwise a paradise.
I'm actually happy about the rain we've been having because our guest DJ this week is Ingo Vogelmann and the mix he put together for today's show complements the weather here in Southern California. Ingo's mix is moody and reflective. Like I said, it goes perfect with rainy weather.
You might know the name Vogelmann. Ingo is a very popular DJ and producer with many followers. If you're a frequent listener of friskyradio then you've no doubt heard him spinning progressive and ambient sets. Ingo is also a resident DJ for Stylecharts.de at Rheingold, Düsseldorf (Germany), PrivateMonkey in Düsseldorf and at Club 3Klang in Essen (Germany).

Dandelion Radio marks the 5th anniversary of John Peel's death with "Peel Legends" month in October. Andy's 3-hour show features brand new sessions from past session guests on John's BBC Radio 1 show. You'll hear exclusive material from Eat Static, Davey MacManus (of The Crimea), The Aphrodisiacs, Decoration and Martin Carr, as well as some classic tracks from Extreme Noise Terror. On top of all this is a "New Legends" session from Atomizer, whom Andy feels John would've approved of. You'll also hear a New Order jukebox track from their 1998 Peel session; Teresa and Scott's monthly selections; and details of the 2009 Festive Fifty.
Jeff will be featuring two 'New Legends' Sessions for his October Show. First two songs from Clutter (There should have been three but the CD player buggered up!) recorded exclusively for the show. Whilst wolfram wire 'curates' the second exclusive and invites his friends Roj (Broadcast) Kristian Goddard (Woman…
