Description :
Vektor is the future of thrash metal. They're out of this world...

Vektor is a band. They portray the future as a bleak, barren wasteland that has been destroyed by greed, power, corruption, hate, violence, ignorance, and control. It is a journey into controversial places. It is the questioning of reality, existence, minds, souls, and the fleeting feeling of fullness in them.

The band strives to employ an array of intricacy, virtuosity and unique sounds in an attempt to set themselves apart from most other thrash bands. Their debut full length album Black Future was released November 17, 2009 on NY’s Heavy Artillery Records.

Conceived in 2004 by front man/guitarist David DiSanto and lead guitarist Erik Nelson, Vektor quickly gained popularity amongst the Phoenix metal contingent for their unique mix of technical, speed thrash and progressive influences. Vektor created a wave of interest with their self released CD Demolition (2006) and their two track demo Hunger for Violence (2007). After four years of local and regional performances as the opening act for such national acts as Testament, Hirax, Iced Earth and Municipal Waste, Vektor hit the road for their first national tour alongside label mates Exmortus in support of Black Future in December 2009 through January 2010.

well, yeah, those bands are not really close to Vektor in sound. I like Coroner and Anacrusis, still can't get into Watchtower and never really cared about Sadus, but these bands all have different sounds. Anyway, waiting for more Vektor music. Really excited!

The band states: "Our main focus right now is writing for the next album (while two of us finally get school out of the way in December). We're working hard with new material and a lot of it is coming out awesome so far. Once it gets tightened up, tweaked, and finalized, our aim is to get in the studio some time in the winter. Probably early 2011, putting the album out around March or April. Don't hold us to that, it's just an estimate. Might be earlier, might be later. After that we head to Europe for Keep it True and a few weeks of shows out there (TBD), then probably some VERY extensive touring after that. Once school is out of the way we're going to go pretty all out as far as touring goes, and we hope to take it as far as we can. We do need all the help and support we can get from YOU though."
