McKenzie Eddy is a double agent: businesswoman by day, musician by night. She is one of the original founders of DD172 along with Damon Dash and photographer and graphic artist, Raquel Horn.

The current president of Bluroc Records, McKenzie A&R’ed 2009’s Blakroc, a project featuring The Black Keys and a number of hip-hop acts including Mos Def, Jim Jones, Raekwon, to name a few. She also A&R’ed Curren$y’s Pilot Talk and Pilot Talk II (an album that she is also a featured singer on along with Wiz Khalifa) as well as Ski Beatz’ 24 Hour Karate School, all released in 2010.

In 2011, she A&R’ed Ski Beatz’ 24 Hour Karate School Part 2, as well as Murs’ “Love and Rockets”, Tabi Bonney’s “The Summer Years”, and Locksmith’s debut album “Embedded” – all to be released by the end of the year.

McKenzie has worked on collaboration projects with Adidas including Bluroc’s Brooklyn Bowl show in June 2010 and a 3-day tour in November of 2010 where she and fellow Bluroc artists played shows in Toronto, Burlington, VT, and New York. Additionally, she managed a project with DD172 and Pepsi that featured a music and art showcase in the Dash Gallery.

McKenzie also organzied the Bluroc festival at the 2011 Camp Bisco, which consisted of a number of artists: Ski Beatz and the Senseis, Rugz D. Bewler, GLC, Locksmith, Tabi Bonney, Ben Fagan and the Holy City Hooligans, Sean O’Connell, Kat CHR, and Da$h – and managed to do all of this even as she prepared for her own performance.

Most recently, McKenzie has organized the largest tour Bluroc has been apart of. The Hip Hop and Love Tour will kick off on September 27th hitting 51 cities across the nation for the following two months. McKenzie, as well as Murs, Tabi Bonney, Ski Beatz and the Senseis, Sean O’Connell, and Da$h will all be apart of the tour.

Musically, McKenzie is currently working on three projects: one produced by Ski Beatz, another by Marc Brownstein, bassist of The Disco Biscuits and and the third by Truth and Soul, most famous for their work with Lee Fields and Aloe Blacc. She has creatively worked with artists as varied as Wiz Khalifa, Curren$y, The Disco Biscuits, Sean O’Connell, Da$h, Nicole Wray, Terri Walker, and Eric Church.

In August 2011, McKenzie released her third free album, entitield “Young Platinum” with production from Ski Beatz, Sean O’Connell, and WordySoulspeak. The tracks feature artists such as: GLC, Murs, Cam’ron, Vado, Kat CHR, Kool A.D, Da$h and Ben Fagan.
