Description :
Kony 2012

As part of the Kony 2012 mission set up by Jason Russell and the charity Invisible Children,
we need to make Joseph Kony - leader of the LRA (Lord's Resistance Army) - famous so that
support is established for the capture of this monster. Let us help make it succeed!

Several musicians are behind this campaign and as fans,
lets join them and spread the word.

What is Kony 2012?

All you need to know is in this inspirational 30 minute YouTube clip -

What else can I do?

1) Spread the word on Facebook, Twitter and other social networking sites
2) Sign the online Pledges
3) COVER THE NIGHT - 20th April - sticking posters + stickers around your local town or city during the night

More info: http://www.kony2012.com/

This is a really serious matter and can change lives and allow many African children and families to live their lives
no longer in fear of being killed, abducted or forced to become soldiers.

PS - I dont recommend donating. Invisible Children barely use a third in what they earn to help towards the purpose. Im purely here to raise the awareness.

The more I hear, the less I support... Shame. It first sounded like a really great and well organised cause too...

Russell, co-founder of Invisible Children, allegedly vandalised cars and made sexual gestures while wearing his underwear http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2116184/Kony-2012-video-director-Jason-Russell-arrested-drunk-performing-sex-act-public.html?ITO=google_news_rss_feed now tell me you'd donate money to THAT

Kony has barely been a problem for Uganda for 7 years now, and apparently the LRA has already disbanded. Back when Kony was more operational, people optionally joined the LRA because it's a better life style then being controlled by the Uganda government, and for the record, their current president also used child soldiers to obtain his rule. 'Invisible Children' have always used LESS THAN A THIRD of the money they earn to actually help the situation, It's rumoured they're using some of the money to start their own film producing company, they are corrupt, just because they made a sad video on youtube (which they made with donation money), they got so much attention they barely deserve. Also, their idea of catching Kony is to confront him and his army, resulting in more death. You're simply better off donating to UNICEF or Oxfam or whatever, something that actually helps these situations. I'm not hating, I want Kony punished too, but don't blindly follow without knowledge.

Ive read a lot of worrying things about Invisible Children. Apparently most of the money they raise does not actually go towards the purpose. Knowing this Im not going to donate. However I believe the awareness Kony 2012 is bringing is incredible and supporting the cause can still help get this man captured.

"Let us choose for ourselves what is right; Let us know among ourselves what is good." -Job 34:4(It is horrific what people can do for evil and amazing what people can do for good.)
