    Most Influential Blues Artist?

I think I may get a lot of disagreement over this but I would have to go with Robert Johnson. The man is a legend. He even sold his soul to the Devil, what dedication to the blues. Without him blues, especially Delta Blues, probably would not have taken off like it did and Classic Rock as we know it would be devoid of much of what we love about it. Ironically, he is also part of Club 27 along with Hendrix, Morrison, and others. If you need more convincing check out his Wiki page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Johnson or his complete recordings: The Complete Recordings

Don't think I could agree more with Robert Johnson without even thinking about it.

  • Robert Johnson !

I was about to comment on this threat and argue ,because I haven't expected that somebody would think of Robert Johnson :D But in fact the man gave the basis for the blues and to this day is still covered by such as Clapton, Stones (their beginnings) and more.
