I love it when Anime movies get released in the theatres for a day or two. It really does some Anime Fans justice who would like to see anime grow more. :3

    in responce to OHM-LO

I couldn't sit through the samurai Deeper Kyo series. I totally lost interest in it D: I do have a t-shirt of it though xD

I'm also more of one to stick to series than movies, dunno why I just do. When they come on the Asian network I watch them sometimes though.

They just played Roujin Z last month but didn't like it much D: have you ever seen it?

    It's from strawberry panic~

One of the best shojo-ai animes I've seen so far
It's not as deep as Maria-sama ga miteru or Kannazuki no miko but it's worth the watch I think :3

  • Some of my faves and some I haven't seen yet but like to:

    Hayao Miyazaki:
•1984 Nausicaä aus dem Tal der Winde (Kaze no Tani no Naushika)
•1986 Das Schloss im Himmel (Tenkū no Shiro Rapyuta)
•1988 Mein Nachbar Totoro (Tonari no Totoro)
•1989 Kikis kleiner Lieferservice (Majo no Takkyūbin)
•1992 Porco Rosso (Kurenai no Buta)
    •1997 Prinzessin Mononoke (Mononoke Hime)
•2001 Chihiros Reise ins Zauberland (Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi)
•2004 Das wandelnde Schloss (Hauru no Ugoku Shiro)

    Ghibli Studios:
•1995 Whisper of the Heart (Mimi wo Sumaseba)
•2002 The Cat Returns (Neko no Ongaeshi)

    Gorō Miyazaki:
    •2006 Tales of Earthsea

    Otomo Katsuhiro:

    Ghost in the shell
    Final Fantasy

Don't know if it fits, but see also the new 3D version of Tim Burton's:
    Nightmare before Christmas

Almost forgot Pom Poko - it's fun

    ehhhhm AIR movie ^^

  • Millenium Actress

Has anyone seen millenium actress yet? How / Why did you like it? I'm not sure if I should buy it, it seems a bit like Hollywood.

Did you notice that some of Hayao's films have an abrupt ending? I really like Kiki, but I would have expected to see more about how she develops.

The end of the fireflies is too sad.

The cat returns and Tales of earth sea I haven't found in Germany yet.

    Happy New Year!
