Yes, but the way it is broken down, they (spammed accts) only account for that high end. I know where I stand, and the generalities between the other tiers of the breakdown would be more or less accurate, so pretty much just to give a basic idea of where everyone else stand is where my curiosity comes in.

Also, it would probably be simple enough to just disregard anyone whose profile has over XXX,XXX songs, or some such. I'm sure there aren't THAT many who have spammed, and those that have can be discounted quite easily without too many false-positives while chopping off the top of that list.

Yes, you should be able to filter out the super, high counts, but even so, the chart will be interesting to see, and to compare to the one earlier in the topic.

What counts as super high? I've got 31000 tunes to listen to on my foobar playlist. If I go away for 3 months and they all get played do I get banned? :D

This is kind of the definition. Between the bug in 0.0.4 of the itunes windows plugin and some server hiccups there's a rather absurd amount of incorrect plays on that account ^^

    juk | 1

where I can find the JUK plugin ?!

I would like to submit my tracks when I'm on SuSE.

    Thanks,

    Marcos, 'For4saken'

p.s.: I don't use xmms, also the xmms plugin doesn't work for me.

I use Beep-Media-Player but the plugin identifies itself as xmms plugin. So, I don't understand that "bmp" appears in the plugin list !

  • Re: Juk question

The Juk plug-in is in the the latest cvs code, so to get it you'll have to get a cvs version of KDE, an alpha or beta version of KDE 3.4 or wait till KDE 3.4 comes out, which will hopefully be in march (even then you may want to wait till your distro ships it). In the mean time i'm using Amarok.

  • thanks, Dubhghaill.

I was planning to do a Juk plugin by myself, but I'm so lazy...

I'll wait for the release of KDE 3.4, then update my SuSE whit it, via apt-get.

    re: JuK question

I've got the latest CVS of kdemultimedia with JuK in it, and there's no sign of the AS plugin. I'm running 3.4 Beta 1 as it is, but nothing there... am I doing something wrong?

  • No, it's not in CVS (and will not be in 3.4)

Amarok 1.2 has audioscrobbler support built in (in both directions - it can submit and build playlists based on the similar artists data)

CheersDarlin, use a media player. Despite the name, this "thing" is all but a media player.

I have no clue what the topic is about I don't even know how I got here.
--The Wired article stated that many people have built up sizable profiles. Just out of curiosity (and realizing it's not a contest, and also realizing this is constantly changing), could a similar chart be taken of the ranges of sizes of profiles?
-- this is it,right? What's such a big deal abt the profiles.mkay....I'd better like...whatever.
