Albums You're Looking Forward To In 2010.

  • Albums You're Looking Forward To In 2010.

I don't know about you guys, but I have a feeling this year will be a pretty good year for new albums being released, aside from all the mainstream pop garbage, of which I am not a fan.

I am really looking forward to hearing Them Crooked Vultures sophomore album, as well as the new Coheed and Cambria album, entitled "Year of the Black Rainbow", which is supposedly the last installment of the Amory Wars saga. I also plan on getting my hands on the new Alkaline Trio album which is set to come out early this year, and is sure to be a success and perhaps a new Offspring album. I was really hoping to get the Smashing Pumpkins new cd "Teargarden by Kaleidiscope", them being my favourite band and all, but it seems like the full album will not be released this year, but rather in the next few years to come. Hopefully before December 21st, 2012 though, because we're all gonna die right? (No, we're not). Anyways I shall have to wait patiently for that one, but my hopes and expectations are high, and I quite enjoyed there first single from the album "Song For A Son". Although Billy Corgan is the last remaining original member of the band, I truly believe that he is a musical genius and he will be able to make the band work and continue writing great songs.

And last but certainly not least, the album I have been awaiting the most for, and am completely stoked about is the new Red Hot Chili Peppers album, set to drop in late October-November. After being on hiatus since 2007, the band is coming back to release a brand new cd, without the company of guitarist John Frusciante. Frusciante left the band in December because of differences within the band, but really, were any of surprised it happened? Or even, that it didn't happen sooner? Nonetheless, he has been replaced by his long-time friend, Josh Klinghoffer, who has played with the band previously and is a very talented musician. This change shouldn't affect the Chili Peppers much, but I have to admit, I will sure miss those JF harmonies.

Well, that's all I have to say for now. Please reply telling me which albums you're excited for, send me feedback, or just visit my profile, TheTrooper33, and leave me a message, which I will surely get back to you on.

Dir en grey just released a new single that has me pretty excited. I think a new album might be coming up this year and if it's anything like the single, it should be pretty good.

I need to remind myself to not miss their show. The last couple of tours I couldn't go to, and I'll really regret missing their last tour :(

Along with the last Bright Eyes album, I'm looking forward to Lupe Fiasco's new album, also Jamiroquai and the Gorillaz are supposed to come out with new albums this year. That's all I've heard about so far. I'm sure there are so many more albums that I'll want to get that are supposed to come out this year.

Oh, I almost forgot Röyksopp's new album too.

  • Cold War Kids - Behave Yourself [EP]
The Dillinger Escape Plan - Option Paralysis
    New Our Last Night
    New Arcade Fire

that's all the excitement i can think of.....

I unfortunately, because of an overprotective mother, was unable to go to any Bright Eyes tour except for the last one. :3. I was hoping for so many more chance, but I guess there will only be one. They better tour!

I also saw Monsters of Folk, where he perfomed about 8 Bright Eyes songs, so that was cool too. :)

Yeah, me too, their last album was great and I can't wait to here what's next to come from them. I actually searched up yesterday if they were going to come out with a new album this year but there were few results.

  • mondo cane (new patton), oxbow, battles, high on fire, melvins

i am ftw nsfw qft on the internet
  • new fleet foxes album

and looking forward to a band called wooden shjips coming about.

oh, and spiritualized are also meant to be bringing out a new album

  • I second the Fleet Foxes album.

    Also: Heligoland by Massive Attack

  • I want to join in these threads, but i'm really rubbish at knowing what will be coming out. I generally discover records at a later date. Mind you i've got unreasonably high hopes for Burzum's new Belus album. Depending on how its actually turns out i'll either explode out of pure musical joy or die of disappointment.

They are releasing a new album?! :D

so i'm understood, i've only just recently discovered them and enjoying them...heard they were bringing out stuff anyway, so hoping they do ha ha.

  • Pierce The Veil is supposed to have a new one out :D

  • I'm already waiting for Rome's EP L'Assassin and Xiu Xiu's album Dear God, I Hate Myself. I'm also very excited to hear Swans's next release now that Michael Gira decided to revive the project. Hopefully this will also be the year Circle Takes the Square decides to finally release the new album.

I gotta agree with TC on this one. Smashing Pumpkins definitely. But seeing as how theyre at a pace of about one song every two months... this might be a disspointing year for them.

There is no pain, you are receding...
