  • Despondent, ephemeral, acquiesce, inconsequential...

I'm not one of those people that uses lots of big words to sound intelligent. Usually I keep it simple, but I randomly sprinkle my speech with gems like these and the person I'm talking to is always "whoa, big word."

  • I like saying rambunctious and ascertain.

Come as you are, as you were, as I want you to be.

    That was one big contradiction.

I'm saying I don't think of them as "big words", they are just words I like. And as for the first part, I just mean I don't intentionally try to sound smart. I feel like my appreciation for words is more internal and I don't always express myself that eloquently, and occasionally do. I'm not saying it's good or bad, it just is.

I'd use those words and consider it normal. I was referring more to the second sentence of your explanation which insinuates you do it on purpose to appear more eloquent than others, note "the person i'm talking to is always..." "sprinkle my speech with gems...".

I think you should have said, "I'm not one of those people that uses lots of big words to sound intelligent BUT..."

    Lol
