    wedding crashers...great movie
skeleton key - wuznt done well, would make a great 15 minute scary story
    stealth
    devils rejects - good movie
fantastic four - sucked, good set up for a sequal tho
batman begins - pretty good for a batman movie, jack nickalson's one wuz better tho
war of teh worlds - good special effects, below average story, crappy ending

going to see 40 year old virgin

  • WILLY WONKA = freakin sweet remake. definitely the way it should have been.

WAR OF THE WORLDS = meh... started off good and fell off the deep end and turned into a giant ball of shit.

BATMAN BEGINS = believe it or not, not as dark as i would have liked it, and i probably didn't like it especially because i had a picture of it already in my head.

TONY TAKITANI = japanese movie based off a short story by writer haruki murakami... it's awesome. slow at times, depressing extremely, but i just love it for some reason.

THIRTEEN = this movie pisses me off because the 13 year old girls are so freakin annoying.

RAY = this movie bugs me too because ray charles was such a jackass. i can't help it - i have a hard time watching movies or tv (ie: simple life) where people are just mean and insensitive... it hurts.

A WONDERFUL NIGHT IN SPLIT = a croatian movie the interesting, except that the ending makes no sense at all.

LEMONY SNICKET'S UNFORTUNATE SERIES OF EVENTS = awesome cinematography / set design / etc. story is okay - gets boring at some points, but it's fascinating nonetheless.

just recently saw 'Bad Boy Bubby', a magnificent gem from 1993
first 30 or so minutes were quite frustrating, but that just served to build up for the main story which was just awesome

also saw 'Dead Man's Shoes' a few days ago, which wasn't fantastic but way better than most crap they churn out, interesting (and darn good) soundtrack though, lots of small bands - seems whomever selected the music really has both an interest and taste in music

got that on my Netflix list, really looking forward to seeing it.

and to the person who said Thirteen was annoying, i am totally with you, it was one of the worst movies i've ever seen.

i did enjoy when the brother called her a slut though, heh.

  • Yesterday I watched Fog of War, Kitchen Stories, and Shock Corridor. I had the day off and nothing to do.

  • I also watched Reality Bites for the first time at three in the morning on AMC. I'm still mad about that. I could have been sleeping.

  • Fog of War was good, I saw that at the theatre.

  • Just saw Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in the theater the other day. A little flawed but Johnny Depp was excellent as always. 4 out of 5.

Netflix'd Primer the past week. Excellent film made for a mere $7,000 (or so). It's a clever time travel story, although perhaps a bit too clever towards the end. 4.5 out of 5.

Recently bought Time Bandits and Once Upon a Time in Mexico on DVD.
