No audio output from Squeezescrobbler

  • No audio output from Squeezescrobbler

    Hi All,

I've just installed the Squeezescrobbler plugin. I've set up my Last.fm details, and everything looks fine. I can choose to play my "recommended" tracks, The track details appear, the artwork appears... but there is no audio output, and the track seems to 'play' indefinitely.

Is anyone else experiencing this? Is there a known fix?

  • Same here.

Same here. In an attempt to be able to play last.fm streams on my Squeezebox Classic, I removed both official last.fm plugins and installed Squeezescrobbler.

Unfortunately, no sound is output even though everything seems to work.

I'm a bit annoyed that these kinds of failures keep happening on the squeezebox platform. Of course, this is a third-party plugin, but the official Last.fm radio plugin doesn't work for me either. The scrobbling plugin works fine but I don't see any way to play the radio, and I'm a paying user. :-(

  • Workaround

Well, I got the official stuff working by using the workaround of changing my location at mysqueezebox.com to Germany, but I am sure that that won't work long-term.

I ran into (what I expect is) the same issue: it seems LastFM started using HTTP redirect and the plugin wasn't expecting that.

I uploaded a patch that fixes the issue for me at https://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=3179703&group_id=105780&atid=642338

  • That SourceForge link takes me to a blank page...

The correct link is now https://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=3179703&group_id=105780&atid=642340 - but it is irrelevant now, because the patch has been incorporated in the recently-released 1.2.9 version.
