Last FM Error: Audio stream disconnected, skipping to next track

Without apparent cause, my Squeezebox Duet system has developed a problem with 'Last FM'. Whenever I select Last FM using the Squeezebox controller I get this message: 'Last FM Error: Audio stream disconnected, skipping to next track'.

The system then proceeds to rapidly skip through several album covers on screen, but there is no audio output. Eventually it gives up and stops.

A similar problem occurs when I use the superb 'iPeng' app on my iPhone to try to play Last FM through the Squeezebox.

I have tried re-installing Last FM on my PC, on my iPhone and on my Logitech account. No change. I've turned off the Squeezebox and the controller (and iPeng). No change.

I NEED Last FM - Help!

    Re:Last.fm radio on Squeezebox Server 3.5 !?

To get last.fm radio, one can try the following:
    1. Disable both pre-installed last.fm 1.0 plugins
    2. Download SqueezeScrobbler 1.2.8 from slimscrobbler.sourceforge.net
    3. Place the full SqueezeScrobbler directory in C:\Program Files\Squeezebox\server\Plugins
    4. Restart Squeezebox Server
    5. Configure the plugin settings (including favourite stations!)

    .....

Great!, Anybody knows is it possible in SqueezeCenter for QNAP?

  • Plugin not playing tracks

I seem to have the same issue as 'speenth' above. When I try to play any radio station, the artwork shows up but the track refuses to play. When I open the URL that shows up in the logging using Firefox it will play just fine in Firefox. When I try to tune into such a URL in SqueezeBox (after restarting the station to get a new ticket with Last.fm) it doesn't play either. Is last.fm blocking the SqueezeBox user-agent or something?

I posted this in a couple of threads already, but it seems relevant here again.... I ran into (what I expect is) the same issue: it seems LastFM started using HTTP redirect and the plugin wasn't expecting that.

I uploaded a patch that fixes the issue for me at https://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=3179703&group_id=105780&atid=642338
