8tracks no longer working with last.fm

 

  • 8tracks no longer working with last.fm

    Just noticed this a couple of days ago, when the tracks I listened to on 8tracks stopped scrobbling on last.fm. Thought it was just a glitch, but it's still not working, and another person has been having the same problem as me.

    Anyone else having this problem? How can I fix this?

    I'm not familiar with 8tracks.com at all, but it appears that you aren't the only one that can't scrobble with 8tracks. I am very positive that this is an issue on their side and not Last.fm. But I could be wrong.. in the meantime, you could try posting a support ticket on their website and see what they tell you.

  • Ah, of course. It didn't even cross my mind that it might be a problem with 8tracks. haha. I'll contact them if this doesn't get resolved soon. Thank you!

  • Hi, I'm CTO of 8tracks and yes it was, sort of, an issue on our end.

    Posting scrobbles to last.fm suddenly started timing out on every request after trying for 3 minutes. This was very disruptive to our site so I disabled scrobbling completely.

    I added a way to intercept this outages and reactivated scrobbling this weekend. We shouldn't have this problem anymore.
