Last.fm client on OS X does not respect excluded folders at "playing now"

    Major privacy issue:

Last.fm client on OS X (possible Windows too?) ONLY respects excluded folders for the actual submission but still publishes tracks for "playing now".

I would really appreciate a quick fix for this. I cannot use the client until this got resolved. And I'm sure that many users aren't aware of this flaw.

    Version: 1.5.4
    OS X 10.6.2, Snow Leopard

They are folders excluded from scrobbling, which they do. If you play them they show up but not scrobble, doesnt really seem like a bug.

most certainly isn't a 'major privacy issue;.

They are NOT excluded and show up at Playing Now.

I consider it a major issue because I disabled certain folders for a reason.
In fact this problem can't be closer to the definition: Submitting data that the user didn't approve.

They are excluded if they do not SCROBBLE, which they're not doing.. Which is what the feature says it does, it says nothing about the now playing notification.

I can't use the official client as long as this issue exists. If you can that's fine, but you're not helping here.

The client either needs the option to not submit any "Now Playing" data or start honoring the exclusion folders. Disabling the feature on the site also turns off all export functions that would be populated from regular submission - so that's no valid workaround.
