Scrobbling Audio CD's

  • Scrobbling Audio CD's

For some reason Last.fm stopped scrobbling Audio CDs since some newer version. Although I've included all my CD drives in the scrobbling options, it says that the track is in a directory set not to scrobble.

Which media player are you using?

  • Wow, thanks for the quick response and sorry for me taking so long to answer. Anyway: I use Winamp 5.53.

  • Have you tried excluding your CD-player, restarting teh client and than including it again?

Remember to say "thank you" for the things you haven't had
  • Yeah, did that. Doesn't work either. :(

  • You're not alone. I've been having this problem for ages and nobody seems to know why. I'm using itunes but cd's just don't scrobble with any player. I end up having to burn the cd to the hard drive which is rapidly filling up.

I'm not sure which version it started happening but I know it used to scrobble cds fine when i first signed up.

  • Yeah, I remember a time when Last.fm scrobbled AudioCds just fine too. Will I ever live to see these happy and innocent days return? O.

I might have found a workaround. Using 1.5.2.38918 version and it appears that it badly wants to scrobble off the system drive (C:), once it's ticked, the scrobbling from dvd drives resumes.
    Check it out folks.
