    1. iPod Nano 8 GB
    2. iTunes whatever the latest version is called.
    3. Win XP Home Edition
Don't know how to check which version it is.

My iPod isn't even recognized in the client.

I think Last.fm people made clear about we're all having problems, but for now the real fix is the rollback to 1.4 version.

    2: LastFM version: 1.5.0.24910
    3: iTunes 7.6.2.9
    4: Windows Vista Business SP1
    5: iTunes Plugin 3.0.0.12

iPod isn't listed in the "known iPods"-list

    edit: itunes-version corrected

  • It won't work and the most irritating thing is, as someone said, that the staff don't seem to be responding in any way. At least tell us you'll start working on it in the near future.

  • 1. iPod 2Gb (Generation unknown) Firmware: 1.1.3
    2. Last.fm-Version: 1.5.0.24910
    3. iTunes 7.6.2.9
    4. Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 64-bit
    5. iTunes Plugin 3.0.0.12

No iPod is known, no scrobbling possible. Old appdatas are killed, but it help nothing.

As I try to install without all plugins and install them later manual, he prepare it to do iPod-scrobbling, but he don´t take my iPod inside last.fm options.

    Where is my old last.fm-install-package?

Edit: Yes. Last.fm-1.4.2.59470 will do correct work, but the old appdatas must be killed, then will be the iPod indicated.

Well to add at the overall statistic, it doesn't work for me either... Unfortunately the roolback doesn't work too !

    1. iPod Classic 160Go
    2. iTune 7.6.2.9
    3. Windows XP SP2
    5. iTune plugin 3.0.0.12

Some update on this issue by the staff would be highly appreciated.

    Cheers up !

  • My iPod is not scrobbled, either.. since I updated last.fm ... it is not found any more.

    D:

    Here is my data:

    1) What type of iPod you have, it's version, the version of its firmware if you can find it.
    --- iPod Photo 20GB
    Version 1.21
    2) What version of iTunes you're using
    7.4.3.1
    3) What operating system you're on.
Win XP w/o Service Pack 2 sadly
    4) If you're on Windows, the iTunes plugin version (Open the client and go to Help > About)
    3.0.0.12

  • Argh, this is really pissing me off since I listen to very much music in my iPod. I want that music scrobbled too.

    Anyway, here's my data.
    1) iPod Nano 4GB
    2) iTunes 7.6.2.9
    3) Win XP Home edition
    4) 3.0.0.12

  • 1) iPod 5.5G 30GB, Firmware version 1.3
    2) Last.fm version 1.5.0.24910
    3) iTunes version 7.6.2.9
    4) Windows Bloody Vista Home Premium
    5) iTunes plugin version 3.0.0.12

Could this be fixed ASAP please? I hardly listen to music outside my iPod.

  • 1) 8GB iPod Nano, before-latest generation; Version 1.1.3 (which I'm assuming is the software build)
    2) iTunes 7.6.2.9
    3) Windows Vista
    4) iTunes plugin version 3.0.0.12

Hope this gets fixed soon, as my iPod counts for about half my plays!

  • Not working for me, either, since I updated last.fm last week... I followed the directions MegaVortex gave here, and it still won't work. Here's my specs:

    1) 80GB iPod Classic (current generation, I think 6th? I'm new to the iPod world) software version Version 1.1.2
    2) iTunes 7.6.1.9
    3) Windows XP
    4) iTunes plugin version 3.0.0.12

I've even restarted a couple of times. Reading this, I see there's a new version of iTunes out, so I'm downloading and installing it now. I'll see if this fixes it later...

  • IPOD still not scrobbling

    1) 2GB Nano software 1.3.1
    2) Itunes 7.6.2.9
    3) XP
    4) 3.0.0.12

    @luckjoker:
Edit: Yes. Last.fm-1.4.2.59470 will do correct work, but the old appdatas must be killed, then will be the iPod indicated.

    How do I do that?

  • Windows XP:

Uninstall last.fm, then go to C:\\(own?) documents\[your username}\appdata\local and delete the folder "last.fm".
    Install the old last.fm-software.

    Windows Vista:

Uninstall last.fm, then go to C:\Users\[your username]\appdata\Local and delete the folder "last.fm".
    Install the old last.fm software.

The path for Vista is correct, but I am not sure, that the path of Windows XP is correct. English is not my own language, and I don´t like the english language too, so I don´t engage me to learn the path names in English. I know wheres to click, this is enough for me, when I must work with an english/american-languagebased Windows machine.
In case of doubt try google, o.k.?

Sometimes need the system a reboot before it will send the scrobbled songs to the server, but normally must it work.

    with kind regards,

    luckyjoker

  • I did the rollback and it worked for me. :)

    1. 2nd generation ipod nano 4gb
    2. itunes 7.6.2.9
    3. xp

    1) iPod Video 5th Generation with 30gB and Version 1.3
    2) newest Version iTune 7.6.2.9

The iPod is not listed in the Options on the Software.

latest last.fm client doesnt recognise ipod as well for me...went back for the old version...

  • A silly question: how and where do i get the old version back?

  • Apologies for the lack of response from anyone on the team on this thread.

For what it's worth, we are working on a solution (or at least a workaround to trigger scrobbling manually) which will be released in the next client update 1.5.1.

In the meantime, if you want to downgrade, you can get the previous official versions here:

    Windows
    http://cdn.last.fm/client/Win/Last.fm-1.4.2.59470.exe

    Mac
    http://cdn.last.fm/client/Mac/Last.fm-1.4.2.58240.dmg

Do uninstall the current version first before installing an older version.

  • I installed the old version and FINALLY this shite is working. Now I'm happy. Temporary. Hope this will be fixed 'til the next client update.
