    Ugh....

    having this issue as well.

Gonna follow the prescribed, uninstall>reboot>reinstall procedure.

Right after my Dayglo Abortions video upload to YouTube is finished.

    *edit*
    resolved!

  • Same problem here. This is the second time, after doing the uninstall reboot reinstall procedure once already.

Oh well, just joining in with the cries of 'me too'!

I shall try re-downloading the client.

    I had the same problem.

I uninstalled the program. Restarted my computer and reinstalled it. I even removed the c:\program files\last.fm folder and now it works.

  • Same problem.

Uninstalled, deleted the whole lastfm directory, restarted Vista, redownloaded setup and reinstalled. All good so far...

    same here,

wouldnt reinstall without a reboot. I need to learn whats going on in ma OS.

Sorry about the lack of verbose output but i've only installed vista yesterday and dunno where anything is :\

  • Just confirming here:

After uninstalling and rebooting, I reinstalled. Same error occurred.

I then uninstalled again and rebooted TWICE. Reinstalled and all is well.

  • Tried that initially. Did not work. At least in my case, the only way to get Last FM working properly was to uninstall and reboot twice, then reinstall.

  • this still happens, a few weeks after I fixed it by reinstalling...can this be patched up??

    joining the club.. sheesh..

  • Same issue here on multiple machines, seems to appear on random times. Even when 'fixing' it, it can happen again a few days later. Very annoying.

  • This issue just arrived for me too.. after installing windows updates.. :(

    Not alone

I have this same problem, hope these suggestions work.

Worked like a dream two days ago but some Vista updates didn't seem to like it "crash reporter stopped working" 23. November 2007.

Edit: Problem solved! uninstalled, deleted Last.fm folder from Program files, rebooted, installed last.fm client (didn't crashed to install point at this time anymore) and rebooted just to be safe and works!

  • Maybe this will help one of the dev staff

The crash reporter died and when i attached a debugger (i'm a dev type) I got this.

Yes please with regard to the minidump, see link below this post for email address.

  • Have the same problem (Vista Ultimate 32bit)

    a) Have UAC disabled so it is not it.
    b) Had last.fm client always working until yesterday. So possibly it is one of the last windows updates (using client v.1.3.2.13b)
    c) As far as I can recall the 1st time error appeared just when I launched WMP and set up Express settings. On other machine I didn't do that however but just ran WMP.
    d) Somehow made it work again on my work machine, possibly because of reboot. Butlogging off/on here on home machine didn't help.

PS Tried uninstall → reboot → install and it worked and works yet. Not sure about how much longer it will. Sicking for client update asap.
