Two smal suggestions for Last.fm Application (Mac OS X)

    Hi everybody,

I'm really glad to use Last.fm Application for Mac OS X. I think it's great to get to know so different and great musical genres. But I've faced two constantly anoying issues about the software:

    1. Function Keys: Play/Pause, Forward: I would love to use the function keys F8 (Play/Pause) and F9 (Forward) within the application. It's obvious which functions of the programm I want to control with that: Not just by clicking on the menubar in the application but with the real keyboard keys I want to skip a track or pause respectively start a station.

    2. Sound driver: I think it's quite anoying that you have to choose your soundcard seperatly within the application. Why did I set up a system wide sound driver/device when the application doesn't use it?!

An example (in my special hardware setup): I use bluetooth headphones for enjoying music. But they're not always connected (battery etc.). When I switch them on and use, Mac OS X detects them as sound device. When they're empty, the OS switchs to normal build in soundcard, or when I just want to enjoy music with my friends I always have to adjust the settings in Last.fm-Application and restart it.

I hope you understood what I suggested and take it into consideration while developing a new version of the software!

Thanks and keep up the great work!

    Cheers,
    sr0th

The new client version was actually released as beta yesterday! :)

Get it and leave feedback at Audioscrobbler Beta
