something fucked up

  • something fucked up

i've got like a million scrobbles on the 21st, presumably from grooveshark - wtf?
see here: http://www.last.fm/user/LastNickVacant/tracks?page=30 (goes on for a couple of dozen pages)

is it possible to remove all scrobbles from a given date?

and a suggestion for the future: would be nice if the server filtered out duplicate scrobbles coming in with the same (or nearly same) timestamp

which would basically instantly disable all ipod scrobbling...I think you'll be lucky.

    for a mod?

dankinewhich would basically instantly disable all ipod scrobbling
    why would it do that?
just to clarify, when i said duplicate scrobbles, i meant the same track with the same timestamp

    It is not possible.

Because due to the way ipod scrobbling works, multiple instances of tracks are submitted with the same timestamp.

You would actually allow a mod (who is just another user, with a few extra buttons) to be able to do more with your scrobbles than you yourself??

Remember to say "thank you" for the things you haven't had

i'm not that familiar with how last.fm is run and wouldn't know whether the mods are just very active users that have been selected as such, or people actually working for last.fm

anyway, turns out it wasn't as big a deal as i feared, as deleting one track from the scrobble history also deleted all of its duplicates
