Thanks, I've added this to the "Issues" thread.

  • Thanks, i've also posted a link to it in the Media Monkey forums.

The musicians today who don't do drugs and in fact speak out against it? "Rock Against Drugs?" BOY do they suck.

April 28 2006, I just installed the Winamp plugin (v1.1.10, ML Version) on Media Monkey (v2.5.2.951) with the protocol explained here.

For the moment, the songs are perfectly submitted.

Ah, never mind, I got it fixed > I Just copied the plugin from the winamp plugin-folder to the MM plugin folder. Seems to work out fine ...

  • Hey I was wondering for that plugin do you need to install winamp?

  • User name and password sometimes disappear

If you notice your tracks not being submitted check your plugin config - sometimes the user name and password seem to vanish. Your tracks will queue up and be submitted as soon as you enter them.

  • It would be nice if there was an option to be able to tag/love tracks right from the MM interface. This does submit, but in order to tag you'd have to come to your last.fm profile.

  • Problem getting this to work

Hi! Thanks for the blog explaining how to make Audioscrobbling work with MediaMonkey. I am running MM Gold version 2.5.5.998 and last.fm version 1.3.0.62 with the Winamp plugin version 2.0.30.0. I have followed your directions from your blog page successfully through step 4. When I click the 'Configure' button, the Audioscrobbler Config box does not appear. I tried closing the options screen, shrinking the MM program window to about as small as I can get it and minimized every other program I had running. It's just not there. Also, note that when I was installing the Winamp plugin, I did not get any dialog box asking about the version of the plugin that I wanted to use, but on the MM Tools/Options/General Plug-ins screen, it shows the filename to be gen_wa2_scrobbler.dll. Also note that I have the ScrobblerDJ script installed, but it doesn't work either; I get nasty pop-up error messages, so I have it disabled for now.

    Suggestions?

    Thanks in advance.

  • Same here .. its a shame LastFm breaks/doesnt support Mediamonkey ...
a solution would be very welcomed

  • It worked!

    Thanks for the guide. ^__^

I wish there's native support for MediaMonkey though...

  • Latest patch ruined my Media Monkey - Last.fm Communications

    Hi,

After downloading the latest version of Last.fm scrobbling did not work. I re-installed the plug-in. I can see the tracks I recently listened to on Last.fm webpage, however they do not appear realtime on my LAst.fm software and therefore I cannot "love" or tag my songs.

    Any possible solutions?

    Me too

It had been working. But sometime recently it seems to have stopped. I know I've updated my last.fm program...

I can never see the winamp plugin config screen.

There's a broken link in the blog post in the first post, I couldn't download Winamp Plugin.

Via a short search, I found that the Winamp Audioscrobbler Plugin is still maintaned : http://www.lastfm.fr/forum/3/_/77967

The reste of the tutorial works perfectly.

    Thanks !
