  • Toddler Kidnapped and Raped

One of the most horrible things ever since the James Bulger affair.

I imagine they sit round, have a couple of beers, tentatively broach the subject of child-rape, find a mutual interest and then go for it.

    Oh wait...

I'm a horrible person, but that made me laugh.

Ninja says: I just read that whole James Bulger affair thing, and now I feel absolutely sick to my stomach. I just can't believe little kids would do that!

    I plot for a living.

With regards to this story, it is indeed a fucking horrible thing to happen.

I read the first page then realized there were 11 more.
    Sad story though.

  • Calling them chavs is about as accurate as it gets.

yep, the whole James Bulger case sickens me right down to the bones. I seriously hate the fact that such callous disregard for human life can be paid off with some light (in view of what they did) jail time.

Anyone who does this sort of thing doesn't deserve to ever see light of day again, i dont think the death penalty should be used, instead they shouldn't be allowed to have new identities or police protection. That way if they're innocent they have nothing to fear.....if not the fucking bastards can get what they deserve.

yeah, but if they are innocent (which in this case they clearly aren't) then a combination of media attention / mindless british public mentality would ensure that they're ripped apart a hundred foot from the prison walls.

Not that the fuckers don't deserve that.

Hmmm true, but as much as the legal system is fucked up i do think that if you're innocent you will get off (and then they should have police protection in case). Sadly, if you're guilty you get off after about a year or so, THATS when they should be let out into the big wide world all alone, no protection etc.

an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind

  • They used to send convicts to Australia from here a few centuries ago, where there was no civilisation. They should do something similar with these two, like leave them in the Sahara desert to die. And this must be the most heinous thing I have ever read:

Throughout the interviews, Robert worried that Jon would get off easy. At one point he cried, “Well, you can go ask our teacher who’s the worst out of me and Jon and she’ll tell you Jon.” He also said that he had his own little baby brother Ben. “Why would I want to kill him,” Robert said, “when I’ve got a baby of me own? If I wanted to kill a baby, I’d kill me own, wouldn’t I?”

What sort of a sick thing to say is that?

Oh come on, I may sound stupidly liberal with this post but everyone (no matter what) deserves a second chance. Anyways what can we really do, can't throw away the key? As that would mean paying for their wretched existence for the next 60 years. Can't allow the public to rip them to shreds as that would put us on the same level as they are. The best thing is to release them, as soon as these fuckers commit so much as a parking offence they're straight back in jail, alternatively we could hope that they've learned from their experiences and can go on to lead positive lives. That said, if I saw them in the street I'd go for them (goddamn i'm such a hypocrite :-) )

edit: btw I was talking of the James Bulger case

For any case of the sort (including the three year old girl) i think most people would go for them even though they knew it was wrong (I know i would and i'm not really a violent person). And what does putting them in prison achieve? They're normally kept away from other inmates for their brief period in there to avoid harm then released into a comfortable lifestyle we pay for! Hardly the way it should be i feel.

I normally would say "lock the bastards up and leave them to die in jail", but seeing as how these were ten year old boys...

I don't know. I literally have no idea what to think.

What would you prefer? I can't think of anything that would ensure punishment yet disallow the public from tearing the fuckers to shreds.
Please don't say the death penalty.

  • I think that people do deserve second chances, but they need to be properly disciplined for what they do as well. And think about it, two small boys doing all this for fun; what about when they're adults? What would they be capable of then? It's a possibility that they might regret their actions, but for the sake of society, it's better to be safe than sorry. And imagine how sorry poor people such as the immediate family of James Bulger must have felt; I can imagine the mother after the incident saying to herself 'this is my fault, if only I take him with me'. And they'll be stuck feeling like that for the rest of their lives. I feel that although people deserve another go, sometimes punishment deserves to go beyond the possibility of a second chance.

No, the death penalty is too much, it would be a step backwards for te judicial system. It would also cause criminals (i think) to be more violent and abusive to the police, i mean, if they know they're going to die whats to stop them trying to take someone with them? And i think they should serve the prison term they are set and not given any special treatment inside prison. Then i can see them being given an incentive to not do it again, namely the fear of other inmates reactions to them.

oh thank god. Look, as I said before, the system is far from perfect and by no means do I wish to defend these pieces of shit. However, if the possibility for rehabilitation is there then it must be explored.

Agreed, and dont worry, just cause i want them to be torn to pieces doesn't mean i condone it being done (i think that makes sense?). Unfortunately rehabilitation only works for a small number of people, as shown by the kidnapping of the three year old girl, who was taken (alledgedly) by people who were using/living in/attending a rehabilitation centre. It's finding a middle ground between punishment and rehab thats the hard part. I guess we could always clear out the Isle of Wight and make them all live there together.....
