Kite 'tried to kill Pomeranian' at Widbrook Common

    BBC

A bird of prey twice tried to snatch a woman's dog as she walked in fields near her home in Berkshire.

Kate Hillman, from Maidenhead, said the large kite swooped down and attacked Vinnie, her five-year old Pomeranian.

Ms Hillman said she tried to scare it off, but the bird kept going for the dog, near Widbrook Common in Cookham.

The RSPB said red kites were not aggressive and the attacks, which happened last weekend, were "very unusual".

That's what you get for owning stupid yappy lap dogs. Good on the kite!

    I've a Yorkie like.

Suppose i do love the little guy but I was totally against the idea of a small teacup dog.

They're yappy, attention seeking and no fun to walk and play fetch with.

    Still - cuuute.
