I know they promised to bring some back, but let's try to list them all:

    - Group recommendations
    - The page were last.fm, groups & direct recommendations mixed together.
    - Reply tracker
    - "Reading" page
    - A long description column for groups This won't come back :(
    - The user name in the groups' recent member list
    - A big enough group avatar.
    - Tag while listening in the flash player
    - A better use of available screen width in big screens
    - A clear distinction of full / preview songs (Although it wasn't so clear with the last gray icons)
    - Pagination @ bottom of threads (I think this was done right before)
    - Choose the right artist name
    - Flag incorrect videos
    - Some of the animated avatars (Not all, absolutely not)

But even more frustrating than all that toghether:
    - No improvement that made me say "Oh yeah babies! You finally did it!"

EDIT: Wiki for tags! They did it!!!!!

  • 1) Paint It Black (It's coming back, so that's a good thing)
    2) The collection of pictures you got next to your 'Recently Played' section. I don't know why, but i got a real kick out of those, lol.
    3) The simplicity of the previous layout.

  • 4) The size of the avatars. Is it just me or are they much smaller now??

    1. weekly neighbours
    2. country pages
    3. journals in the artists front page (it was replaced by the "recent activity box"*)

*what's the interest of knowing that some random user tagged Radiohead as ?!

  • -I miss hundreds of tracks I've lost over night most badly.

-I miss the decent layout as badly.

-I miss Last.Fm that used to work.

  • - shoutbox on the right
    - 'about me' on the left
    - name, age, etc. on the left
    - no library
    - ability to listen my playlist for free

  • i miss the old layout generally. mostly the more streamlined look, this looks cluttered, for instance when you search for a tag. the boxes are taking up much more space and has info like the actual link to the page. i prefered the old style when it literally just had the name of the tags to choose from and they were all compressed in the grey bars. much easier to look at.

I would be great if we kept this thread as a plain list of features that we lost without repetitions.

  • I'd like the "Last Updated" note above my charts to return so I'd know that Last.fm was still working in some way shape or form, in the most important sense... has anyone else noticed that that too out of so many other things is gone?

  • I'm not sure I believe in this instantly updated chart stuff. lol. As a subscriber and attempting to use the beta version, I thought I was just stubborn to change but dang. I'm surely not alone.

What do you mean, that they aren't updating.

Having used the system for almost two months, I can say it does certainly work and I've seen my charts change before my eyes. Having my library set to the last seven days I can see an artist move or appear if I listen to an album or lots of tracks.

Though I may agree that some visual okay of the charts being a go could be welcome, like a green light of status or something. Of course the old dates of updates didn't help most people how many times did we still get "My charts are stuck XXX date?" I think the live charts will put all that away. I really do. But that's me.

Things I miss: the name audioscrobbler in the tag lines at the bottom of the page. The end of an era. "Wouldn't you Like to be an Audioscrobbler too?"

I miss the "play this album in the last.fm software" button most of all.

  • I preferred the more precise information on when a track was last played: i.e. "1 day x hours ago" rather than "yesterday evening".

Event recommendations based on distance. That was a really clever approach! I live next to a country border and now I must check city by city? Please bring the old system back!
