Scrobble Deezer!

  • Scrobble Deezer!

Deezer's gone legal now (and i believe it always was), but now it's signed with Universal France for streaming in Europe, is there a way that this could be scrobbled.

  • anyone up for this?

  • Radio Streams outside of Last.fm can not, and likely will never, be able to be scrobbled.

    Would be awesome

    Studogvetmed a dit :

There is a lot of software which are able to scrobble.

A Flash website could if lastfm provide a webservice, without using fingerprint of course.

That would be awesome to scrobble from deezer.com (or myspace, etc...).

Since it's their software, they would have to add scrobbling support. Our API is fully documented.

And for those thinking to suggest it to them, it's been done:

Request for last.fm scrobbling integration in deezer with reference to the API:
Je voudrais suggerer une fonctionnalitée : que les musiques que l'on ecoute soit envoyées vers notre profil Last.FM, ca permettrai de maintenir la continuité dans l'utilisation de cette appli quelque soit la facon dont on ecoute de la musique (depuis notre "librairie", ou depuis un site comme Deezer) Page de l'API : http://www.audioscrobbler.net/development/ nofollow=yes

    Deezer response:
    C'est bon, une olive.

Not sure what to make from the Deezer response though, lol. "It's fine, an olive." :P.

  • brilliant idea, and i am dissapointed, by the answer, though i have deep respect for the answer at the same time....

    also see http://www.last.fm/group/Deezer

  • there's a developer's page now

there's now a developer's page with lots of APIs and stuff I don't understand.

    http://www.deezer.com/developers/

    Hope this helps someone.

  • Bumping this again, in the hope that someone intelligent reads it :)

I had a quick look at the Deezer Developer page, but it seems that they won't reveal any more information about the API until you submit a project suggestion.

  • I found this after a bit of Googling https://addons.mozilla.org/fr/firefox/addon/11544

It only 'works' in Firefox. I can't actually get it to display the options to put in my last.fm username, but my Firefox doesn't work particularly well anyway! I thought other people may have better luck with it!

  • Works great so far, thanks :)
I accessed the settings and edited the username/password fields via about:config first, then noticed that I can also 'get' to them via the bottom right firefox status bar.

[edit: the scrobbling does seem a bit flaky after listening to more than a couple of consecutive songs in a playlist, still, much better than nothing (or using 'universal scrobbler']

  • Excellent! I'd hidden my status bar on Firefox, so didn't see that there. I've got it working now.

    Thanks :)

  • I can't get it work. It's like DAS don't save my login-informationen, so I tried the trick to type it in manually in about:config. Now the cross disappeared in the status-bar but still no scrobbling.

Any idea what can be wrong?

  • same problem here :(

    foxytunes

hey ppl, looks like there's a way to scrobble deezer via the new foxytunes plugin 4.0.2.1. i tried it. It showed on my lastfm page that the song was playing via twittytunes...then it disappeared! it didn't get scrobbled into the database. and now it's not working anymore...

is this a bug, or is it an arrangement done between deezer and yahoo?

Foxytunes is a Firefox add-on. I tried it out but found it to be very buggy and uninstalled it.

http://www.foxytunes.com/about/aboutus.html Looks like Yahoo bought it last year. So if they're ulitmately responsible, I'd report feedback to them. http://www.foxytunes.com/contact.html

Yeah, thanks for this. Works great here.

If Yahoo have got hold of Foxytunes I'd give up on it right now. Their quality of technical support for every service they operate is absolutely appalling.

the best way around to scrobble from Deezer is LastFM Firefox Extention, here is the group and the download link
