Last.fm2iTunes playcount importer for Mac OS X

    Hi,
there have been quite a few requests for a iTunes playcount importer for OS X, since this app was only available on Windows, so here you have a Mac version, be careful though. Also only works on 'relatively' newer Macs which have Java 6 installed (should have happened automatically)

    regards

  • Well this is exciting. Giving it a go right now.

Edit: works great! I'm pretty sure it even handles duplicates. Thank you very much for making this.

  • Works like a charm. Looks nice and works perfectly.

Make sure your name is written correctly, or you'll be using another one's stats ;)

  • I have Macbook Black 2GHz, OS 10.5.7, itunes 8.2.1, I dont work.. :-/

  • My profile don't work. Friend profile work :-(

  • Worked perfectly for me.... thanks heaps!

Strangely, I've been thinking of looking for something like this for the last year or so... but I only just got around to searching it - some 3 days after it's been released :)

    Thank you!
    It worked for me.
There was this thing with duplicate tracks. It only tags one of both tracks, the other one is empty. Maybe you could fix it so it tags both tracks with the same playcount?
And it tagged also a music video instead of the track. :)

Just out of curiosity, why does it need a 64-bit Mac? or Java 6, for that matter?

    Not criticism, just honest curiosity.

    And also, I have a 32-bit Mac with Java 5. =)

  • Thank you so much. I will be using this later this week and if it works, there's a sizable donation headed your way.

Yay! This works perfectly on a 32-bit Mac with Snow Leopard (it includes Java 6).

Thanks. I've been waiting for this for. so. long.

Thanks so much. You saved me some time for sure!

  • Oh my goodness, this is so amazing! It works perfectly with new MacBook Pro after I lost most of my play counts when transferring from my old machine. Thank you so much JRoar!

Hi, this is a problem on last.fm's side which neither of us can fix. You're also not the first one to report that, but all we can do is wait for last.fm to fix that bug in the web services, sorry :(
Thanks to everyone for all the positive feedback from you!

    JRoar,

Is there any way to apply the playcount to multiple songs with the same artist and title?
