    Music stutters

I looked through the first page and couldn't find a problem similar to mine.

It seems as though every time I've started up my Laser Inc radio for the past few days, some songs will stutter. It will pause for 10-15 seconds, then play 3 or 4 seconds of the song, and then repeat.

I'm fairly certain it's not my connection, as other songs work just fine. I cannot provide a list of songs at this time, but they are not always the same. For instance, yesterday, Colours of the Rainbow was stuttering, but I'm now listening to it just fine with no pauses at all.

Any information and help would be appreciated.

  • It might be a server sided problem, related to traffic. Try using the browser radio, and keep an eye on the buffering rate.

I use the browser radio almost exclusively. How would I view buffer rate?

I'm guessing he meant to say to try using the official Last.fm software (AKA the Client). It displays the HTTP buffer size under Help > Diagnostics > Radio. You can download it here: http://www.last.fm/download

Oh, I see. Thank you, Sliders.
