Recent Activity Issues?

 

  • Recent Activity Issues?

    I noticed earlier that my recent activity chart defaults back to activities from August, only whenever I make a journal entry. I did this a few times before and never had a problem until yesterday. Im on everyday, so I know theres a lot of activity missing. Can someone please help with this? If it helps, this has happened since I subscribed early yesterday afternoon.

    Hello,
    What do you mean by "recent activity chart"? "recent activity feed"?
    I had a quick look at your profile and it seems to be ok.

    There has been a bug corrupting some activity feeds from midday yesterday, the bug is fixed now. We will reprocess older activity logs to regenerate them.

  • thanks, I'll try posting another journal today and see if all is well. and yeah, i meant activity feed, I was kinda sleepy when I posted.

  • I'm having the same problem. Stuff from August is showing up in my recent activity (which is only viewable by me and friends... and perhaps mods?).

  • Ditto, I have the same issue with Bolshevized. Freakin' August activities keep haunting me and have been for some time. :-/

  • As galeote says, there have been some problems with the recent activity over the past few days. We'll be reprocessing some data to regenerate the feeds which will fix it, but this takes time. Sit tight and this should be sorted in a few days.

    yes, it does seem to be connected somehow to new journals being created. no big issue for me, though.

    there are some things pngs can't fix. for everything else, there's pngoptimizer.

    btw, sometimes the delete button in the recent activities feed doesn't work.

    I got my recent activity replaced with some other guy's recent activity! It happened last night. Please fix it!

  • I understand the situation, and thanks for trying to solve the problem. I have noticed though, when I make a new journal that has artist/album/track tags, it will go back to August. I just made one without any of that, and I still see my recent activities. Maybe that was why they would go back? Just a suggestion.

  • I'm having the same problem as mom4il - my recent activity has been replaced with someone else's activity. Is there a fix for this?

  • Thanks for the bug reports. I had a look into people's feeds going back in time and this is still happening; hopefully we can fix this early next week.

    As for people seeing feeds that are not their own, this is a known problem that we're actively working on. Again, it should be fixed soon. You can fix it for yourself by performing an action that puts something into your recent activity, such as leaving a shout somewhere.

    The delete button, you'll be pleased to know... is a known issue, and is one we're actively working on. Once again we hope to have this fixed soon.

  • Well, this is still happening. It's been going on for about a week now. :( For some reason it really likes to bring up August feeds... at least they're mine and not someone else's, even if they are three months old. Hoping this gets fixed at some point...

  • I hate to revive an old topic, but I'm not receiving anything in the recent activity feed. I'm still notified if I get a new shout, but other than that, nothing.

  • reviving an old topic but since december I keep getting my october 2008 activity..and this refuses to leave... any idea? it leaves for a week or two but it comes back and removes all my recent activity

    Can someone say they're on it? For peace of mind.... this has been going on for months? Am i gonna be stuck with this bug forever? Leaving shouts or changing privacy settings doesnt work... come on now.

  • I've locked this thread as there's another, more active thread about recent activities either not updating or going back in time. We are aware of this problem and are working to fix it.
