Where did my scrobbles go?

  • Where did my scrobbles go?

I've lost my scrobbles! Or at least some of them. I noticed that my Overall Artists and Overall Tracks charts have lost some scrobbles. What's happened? Can I get them back somehow? My Tracks Played count is same as before, but for example before I had listened 2397 times In Flames and now it shows only 1583. Help please!

  • Im having the same problem... If its permanent, then im done.

    siggy.

Did you guys have imported iTunes history or something similar? I lost everything that isn't in my Weekly charts last night... which I thought was pretty lame.

Yes, it seemed like everything from before I signed up for last.fm has gone missing, although the "tracks played" number is the same. But that was like half my music!

  • Yep, almost half of listened tracks just disappeared.

that would explain where mine went. I'm hoping this is a blip or something. I'm not impressed.

I lost half of my listened tracks as well. I hope this isn't permanent.

There probably hasn't been a massive loss of data. Chill and it will most likely be sorted out before you know it.

It has nothing to do with iTunes history import, for I do not even have iTunes, but also my charts are a bit messy and "updated regularly"...

Hrmm, yes I have noticed the same problem and it is awfully annoying. I hope this is something which is resolved soon otherwise will I have to start over with a fresh account so my iTunes play count and my last.fm profile are accurately synced?

Listen, I'm not going into a fit and I don't quite understand your attitude. All I said was I hope it's resolved. I didn't say I was going to go and set up a fresh account right this instant, did I? I merely asked if that was going to be my eventual act. If the problem is not fixed within two weeks, I might do so but I'm not going to go and change within an hour. I only asked a question. I am relaxed and I am waiting. No need to be an arse, is there?

Okay, this is being looked into, bear with us.

No data should be lost, and it'll return shortly.

Thank you. I'm sure it's nothing major. I would've imagined that if the total track number remains the same, the data is still there in some essence, only the charts are slightly fudged. It makes sense when one considers the advent of the "regularly updated" charts.

  • I haven't lost previous scrobbles, but recent ones are not updating at the moment. Even the total number of tracks doesn't grow and they are not showing on the overall recent track charts.

If you're unable to scrobble, this would be indicative of a different issue to what is being described in this thread. Please start another thread, rather than hijack this one.
