Ban Track not working

  • Ban Track not working

How many times do I have to click the Ban Track button on a particular song for it to no longer show up? There is one song I have literally pushed ban track on 4-5 times a day at work for the last 5 days and it still pops up every 15-20 minutes. I really really hate the song, and it just won't go away. It might have something to do with autocorrections ?

Same here. What is the point of the ban button if it doesn't work and it is not being fixed?
The songs I'm trying to ban are not even songs I dislike - I'm just sick and tired of my library and mix radio playing me the same songs over and over again until I begin hating them- just like real commercial radio.

It SHOULD work better shouldn't it.
You might get a staff response if you post a fresh thread
    (or this thread?
    http://www.last.fm/forum/21713/_/2031301/_/18074876 )
    during the working week &
pasting link urls to the track &
link to your library page if you've allowed it to scrobble

A work around could be to use http://beta.combofm.de to listen to your own library filtered through the library of someone who doesn't have that track(s). (use the 'and' option)

  • Whenever I start a new thread on a certain subject to get the attention of the staff,it immediately gets locked with some sarky comment about one thread being enough etc. so - no, but thanks.
I've now started to remove the most repeated tracks from my library and that seems to work. You lose scrobbles but who cares. Besides you keep the artist in your library and so the tracks rear their heads again at some point but don't get played to death.

    Cheers.

  • We're still working on a fix so we can propagate bans to all corrected tracks as well. Might be some time before it's tested and deployed though, but we are working on it.

  • Nice one. Thanks.
