BWalshy while the band of horses were being rebels, silversun pickups were defiantly tearing it up for the best show of the weekend for me. Im worried about ticket prices rising though. Why did the presales for next year say buy at "last years prices" ? oO

MaggieCarey i think my favourite show was andrew bird. he was so freaking incredible. but my other favourites had to include fleet foxes, bon iver, sam roberts band, animal collective, delta spirit, and blind pilot. Best 3 days of my lifeeeeeeeeee.

CrunchiKitKat It was an awesome experience a lot of love, man! Never been to a 3-day concert before. Depeche Mode, Diplo, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, the Killers, MSTRKRFT, Animal Collective, Santigold, Federico Aubele and everyone else were awesome!

hk94 If Band of Horses were ever invited back, I hope they say no. They got shit on by Lou Reed, and had to chose between "respecting" the headliner or respecting their fans. Either decision, they were going to piss someone off. They chose right, and if Lolla is going to not pull the plug on Lou's self-indulgent/passive aggressive behavior, then Band of Horses is being put in a no-win situation. What an honor!

Derrek13 That stunt was great! You could still hear Band of Horses playing after Jane's finished their first song. I agree, they are never going to play Lolla again. Horses is better than Jane's anyway.

they were bad ass and played over jane's addiction after lou reed cut into their set by 20 minutes. it was amazing.

thehikikomori animal collective was incredible; i agree, "fireworks" was a borderline religious experience minus the rowdy dudes towards the front. deerhunter, yeah yeah yeahs, no age, dan deacon, and gang gang dance were all great too. deerhunter especially; i was so psyched when i saw that most of them were on my flight home and i actually got to meet bradford, lockett, and josh, and just talk about the music we all saw.

i'm not an AC fan by any stretch of the imagination, but being in the crowd made the show perfect. i can't imagine having more fun at a show. the surprise show of the weekend was miike snow. what a great show.

that animal collective show only re-ignited my love for them... gonna listen to more again... I already can't wait until next year's Lollapalooza.

dontmakemeatrgt they really need to plan out where stages go better next time. i understand its a constricted area, but putting the typically stripped down, acoustic sets at the BMI stage right by the bass heavy Perry's, is so fucking stupid.

tinakilz New appreciation for "What Would I Want Sky" glad AC played that first, very good song. Dan Deacon was fun too, the crowd was energetic. The Decemberists were one of my favorites too. Yeah Yeah Yeahs were amazing just wish I was much closer to see them. Karen O looked fabulous. All in all good show but Grant Park was super crowded.

an amazing first two days, plus Apunk and walcott by vampire weekend (the only good songs since they suck live) --> cold war kid--> one amazing song by snoop dog--->deerhunter---> silversun pickups (A FUCKING PARTY!) ---> Killers best lolla finish ever

knifeintheback Dan Deacon had the best set. Extremely charismatic. Push-pitting to Animal Collective is the dumbest thing I've encountered. Also, drunken middle-aged cubical-dwellers are rude.
