it was my first time at the incubate and i loved it! great atmosphere, great people, great venues and of course a lot of interesting music and artists to explore. my highlights - in chronological order - have been Celan, Manatees, The Notorious hi-fi Killers, the Generation Bass Party with A1 Bassline, Reso and Joker, Youves, Tujiko Noriko and the afterparty with Rummelsnuff and Masshysteri. See you next year at Incubate 2010!

So, after all, it was an amazing weekend and me and my companions will spread the word further on. Can't wait to see the first names for the 2010 edition :D See you in Tilburg!

Also under its new name Incubate remains probably the most interesting and open-minded festival in Europe. I've never seen such a mix not only of artists, but especially people - fans of all music styles from every subculture or country and through all ages. Especially the Hermann Nitsch ritual proved that. Since I assisted it, my weekend revolved pretty much around this performance and unfortunately, I missed nearly every band I wanted to see; but damn, I don't regret it at any moment :) So, of the few bands I still caught, my highlights would be Aluk Todolo (that was a maelstrom), :of The Wand And The Moon:, Altar of Plagues, the special forest performance of Wardruna (even if I came half an hour too late thanks to that taxi driver), the dubstep night with Reso and Joker (wob wob wob) and EVEN Misery Signals. Yeah, you fucking pathetic morons in your room-filling "mosh pit" couldn't destroy the band's energy entirely, although you tried hard. Oh, and #12's shift sucked big time ;(

Fantastisch weekend gehad in Tilburg!! Hoogtepunten o.a. Celan, James Blackshaw en Mugstar. Helaas één grote domper, een volle geheugenkaart met foto's verloren. Als iemand iets gevonden heeft, stuur me dan a.u.b. een PM.

Inderdaad, jammer dat Caspian te laat was. Desalniettemin hoop ik niet dat iedereen de schuld op hen zal leggen. Ik weet zeker dat ze alles gedaan hebben om er nog te komen. And for what it's worth; ik vind absoluut dat ze zichzelf helemaal hebben gegeven in die 3 nummers!

die #12 gast vertelde me "the venue made us do it". en het is ook best triest omdat het hun eerste european tour is. maargoed, youves was ook een mooie afsluiter voor mij.

Sorry voor de enkele keren dat iets wat minder vlekkeloos gelopen is. de #12 tourmanager had zelf tot het omgooien van het schema besloten, daar wisten wij niets van. Erg jammer voor de bezoekers die het daardoor gemist hebben, en voor ons als festival dat zo open mogelijk met onze bezoekers communiceert. Nogmaals sorry, maar dat ging echt buiten ons om. En dat Caspian te laat was baalden wij als organisatie natuurlijk ook heel erg van. Op naar volgend jaar met hopelijk evenveel of nóg meer hoogtepunten.

Caspian was ook zuur zeg, 3 numers maar omdat de band telaat was. Heel jammer! Hoogtepunten Vrijdag: Celan, Pulled Apart By Horses, Altar of Plagues, Manatees en de breakcore in de V39!!! Zaterdag: dieptepunt #12 missen omdat ik die zwakmosh van your demise niet hoefde te zien, hoogtepunten: Kayo Dot (!!), K-Branding & Altaar (!!). Zondag: Caspian voor 3 nummers, NOX, Blakfish & Crocus. Jammer dat die speedcore niet de dag ervoor was, er was bijna niemand meer terwijl het wel echt ongeloofelijk aan was! & Anaal Nathrakh woensdag was oo zeker noemswaardig.
