To start with, I must confess that when I found out Joshua Radin would be opening for Tori Amos, I was over the moon as these days his music is probably even closer to my heart. He came on stage at the Hammersmith Apollo at 7.30pm and we managed to miss half of the first song since there was not really any announcement or indication that everything was about to kick off. The hall was only half-full at this point, which worked out fine for us as we got seats a lot closer than our assigned ones. It was a simple set, mostly with him and his guitar, and of course his beautiful beautiful voice. The gentle warmth of it was a really comforting experience live. Oh how I wish the set would have been a bit longer than half an hour. At some point Schuyler Fisk joined him onstage for a couple of songs. Her voice is absolutely gorgeous as well. Can't wait for her to finally get her album out! It's not surprising they have recorded and toured together…

Provinssi 2007: Nimittäin ihan mielettömät fiilikset!
18 Jun 2007, 22:01 by Kaufmania
Provinssitilitystä ja –höpötystä, suomeksi, olkaatte hyvät ja anteeksi:
PERJANTAI

Velvet Revolver is not GNR and that is just great
18 Jun 2007, 08:59 by gskijj
Velvet Revolver pulled a gig at Provinssirock on 16th of June. I must say I have to admire Slash, Duff and Matt coming up with a new band and new style. It could have been pretty easy for them just go around playing old GNR songs over and over again and they probably could have made the same income without writing a single new song. But no, they had guts to pick a completely different type of singer and start a new band with new 21th century songs.
Their gig in Helsinki on 2005 was a proof that they have succeeded and now almost two years later they proved in Provinssirock that they really are A BAND. Not just some washed up middle age men who are trying to profit with something they did nearly 20 years ago. Respects.
VR started the show with new song called Let It Roll which is not included on the new single but I heard it a few weeks earlier on some fan forum as a soundboard recording. It is a nice piece of action and Slash has a cool solo in it. … -
Tori Amos Live @ Provinssirock

Provinssirock 2007 - Tori Amos
What can I say? I can die happy now. It was worth the money, the 7-year wait, the sore feet from waiting 3 hours next to the stage and enduring the grueling hour or so of Aiden's concert just to get a good place in the front.
She was Pip (yey, my favourite of the characters!) first, playing the following set:
Cruel
Teenage Hustling
Fat Slut
Bliss
Body And Soul
And then a quick outfit and wig change during which a remix of Professional Widow played. She returned as Tori to play the rest of the gig:
Big Wheel
Cornflake Girl
Secret Spell
Pancake
Bouncing Off Clouds
God
Code Red
Precious Things
I died and went to heaven when she played Precious Things. My all-time favourite and most important song. I still can't believe my luck. The first time she comes to Finland and the first time I get to see her live, she plays Precious Things. I love her.
Too bad there wasn't enough time for encores… -
Provinssi '07, here we come
14 Jun 2007, 12:49 by caine_
Leaving for Provinssirock 2007 today, tomorrow at 10 pm I'll see Tori Amos live for the first time in my life.
I think I'm going to fucking die.
I'm not much of a hysterical fangirl for anything, but Tori is just that important to me. This is awesome.
See you there, everyone! -
