• Ticketing

This year we've updated the ticketing again. One pass for three days (thursday, friday, saturday) and seperate tickets for the Afterburner (sunday).

Reason for this was that we had too many seperate tickets last year and people in the end did not know to which shows they had them (especially on the sunday).

Another reason was that this way we hope to get the visitors who come for the whole festival and not for one of the bands alone (say for Saint Vitus on friday or Neurosis on saturday).

We've debated over this long and hard and in the end decided that this was the best option.

It's maybe a bit late but we'd like to have your opinions on this. Maybe we can learn from that and the experiences of this year to make it even better in 2010.

    Please post your thoughts here!

    Jurgen / Roadburn

  • Where can I buy tickets without using a credit card? Thanks.

If it's too slow, you're too happy.
  • I don't think you can from abroad. So beg steel or borrow one before next week ;-)

    Re: Ticketing

I think it's a good idea. Fuck the ppl who's just going for one band or one night! If you're coming from abroad it'd suck if you could go on thursday and saturday but friday was sold out (for example).

But I don't think I know someone with a credit card. And I don't have paypal. I really want to go.

I'm from Belgium so maybe I don't need a credit card. Will bank transfer work?

@TwistedMurderer: Paypal is echt heel makkelijk en het is zeker je beste optie. Als je hulp ofzo nodig hebt voeg me dan maar toe op joerikoeleman@hotmail.com

I think it's a great idea to only sell 3 day tickets for the reasons you stated.

  • I get the point, but attending the festival for 3 days is not really an option for me. Why not sell 60% of the tickets as festivaltickets and 40% as normal concert tickets. I guess they will all sell out anyway. Now there are a lot of people excluded (like me) that are not in the position to spend a midweek residing in Tilburg.

Hmmzzz......luckily I still have enough time to think of other ways to get in at saturday, hahaha.....

ok...this is maybe stupid...but where do i order tickets online? and what's with that campsite...do i have to pay for it separately or can i order it with a ticket? do tickets for this festival usually sell out quickly or are there alot of them, cuz I will know for sure if i'll go about two months before the festival...

    They'll post links

    Bastard
  • I will post the link here as soon as I get it. We are in London this weekend at the Rise Above fest so we won't be online when the ticketing starts. Please check this page or - even better - the Roadburn.com site. All info will be posted there as we get it.

It's a bit harsh on those renting a bungalow at beekse bergen. You can only rent those from mo. - fri. or fri. - sun. No seperate days. We now have to pay double because of the added thursday. I'd much rather have the old situation. A day of extra roadburn is very cool but it has alot of extra costs involved (beer, dope, days off, sleeping places, recovery days, etc). Ah well, still going anyway.

  • So will there be Tickets with Camping included this time?

  • No, the campsite tickets will have to be purchased seperately. More info later this week.

  • I can understand the reasons that lead You to sell only tickets for the whole festival. It would be very difficult for me to choose only one day, because the line up is great, althought I’m not very much in this music. But circumstances of live are different. Due to work and family it’s not possible for me to attend all days. To pay 200 EUR for two persons is heavy, if it’s quite sure you can see only one day and maybe an additional evening. Why not sell three single day tickets together and let the visitors share if they want?

  • INTERNATIONAL
For those outside the Netherlands without a creditcard, can purchase their tickets via pay pal through the 013 venue. All the info will be up tomorrow.

OK because I don't have paypal and I checked the ticketservice/ticketmaster site and they only announce they gonna sell tickets for the roadburn afterburner

  • going to Rise Above Fest on Saturday? great, see you there then :)

As for the ticketing discussion, I think it's good idea, maybe just leave 20% of the tickets for day ones next , the rest for whole festival passes - this way most will be sold as package, and few people will get a chance to buy day tickets if they really can't attend on all days.

  • Stupid ticketmaster site. Wanna buy tickets so I wanna buy them with visa. Everytime I give the card number it says wrong card number. Even when I do it with spaces or "-" after every 4 numbers. So I don't do anything wrong I guess

I see you can buy tickets with online banking but that's only for dutch people I guess. I'm with Fortis but i'm Belgian so that doesn't gonna work I guess ...
